Is your company not subject to CSRD this or next year? Then let us give you 3 good reasons why you should still care about it in 2025. 1️⃣ More customer requests for supplier-specific data will come Companies that are subjected to CSRD are starting to reach out to suppliers to collect their data to calculate their scope 3 emissions. The first companies have already begun sending out requests this year, and from 2025 onwards the amount of requests will only increase. While you may have few CSRD-compliant customers today, the scope is expanding—and so will the demands for information. 2️⃣ Gathering the required data and building up reporting takes time Whether it’s your client asking for the data or CSRD legislation itself, the result remains the same: you’ll be tasked with reporting on a wide range of metrics. Moreover, you need to have a clear picture of what to track and how before you even get started. All this time you spend on preparing and reporting isn’t helping making your business run more smoother or be more profitable. Spreading the workload over time therefore becomes essential. 3️⃣ Compliance is coming, but it is not the only thing that matters In the future, non-listed large companies, listed SME’s and subsidiaries of international companies will have to report on CSRD too. Now you could either see this as a compliance story, or you could view this as a way to gain a competitive edge. Because the companies who do have to comply already, will start to make choices towards partners which support their strategic goals, not circumvent them. At ClimateCamp we can help you in this process. Our platform helps you with calculating scope 1,2 and 3 emissions, inviting and engaging with your suppliers, as well as set targets collaboratively and reach reduction goals together. I’m really interested to hear what questions you have regarding CSRD, supplier engagement or even to correct me if i’m wrong, so please drop a comment below and let me know! #csrd #sustainability #climateaction

  • Yesterday, we hosted our 3rd community dinner, gathering sustainability, procurement, and sales professionals to discuss challenges of collaborating on, and calculating Scope 3 emissions. 🌍 A special thanks to 🙏 - Nick Van Berckelaer for sharing insights on the importance of high-quality environmental data and the evolution of their product. - Peter Willaert for detailing Duvel Moortgat’s journey in engaging suppliers to improve Scope 3 emissions calculations with ClimateCamp. - Laurent Moyersoen for explaining how ClimateCamp supports supplier engagement, enhances data accuracy, and boosts collaboration on reduction goals. We believe bringing together sustainability, procurement, and sales professionals is key to addressing the ever-evolving challenges concerning sustainability, and these community events play a vital role in that.  💬 Some key questions from last night: ❓How do you put cost effective scope 3 reductions in place? ❓What’s the biggest challenge in retrieving accurate data for Scope 3 calculations? ❓Can you sell your sustainable products for a price premium to your customers? ❓Is your sustainability focus driven by compliance, customer demand, or personal beliefs? ❓Would you trust AI to engage with suppliers?  ❓How do you collaborate with competitors on CSRD reporting? ❓When do you switch between spend-based, activity-based, or supplier-specific data? ❓What are some examples of decarbonization initiatives your company has launched? …and so much more. Are you tackling these challenges? Are you receiving requests for emissions data from suppliers or customers? Comment below if you want to join us for our next community dinner and connect with peers tackling the same issues. 👇

    • Laurent Moyersoen explaining the value of ClimateCamp
    • Nick Van Berckelaer giving more detail about the role of Ecoinvent within scope 1, 2 and 3 calculations

    • Peter Willaert from Duvel Moortgat explaining a bit more about how ClimateCamp helps them engage with their suppliers and improve the accuracy of their data.

Cut Scope 3 emissions. I help sales, procurement, and sustainability teams work with customers and suppliers to track and reduce Scope 3 emissions

"Collaboration is key in reducing our emissions." That's not me that's saying this, it's our customer Duvel Moortgat. Its great when one of our early ambassadors, Peter Willaert shares this vision. "To gain a clear view of our Scope 3 emissions – which often account for 85% of a company’s total carbon output – we involve our suppliers." "Transparency is key to improving performance. To engage with suppliers, we team up with ClimateCamp. This digital platform excels in monitoring and managing CO2 emissions, particularly in Scope 3. Currently, our procurement teams are being onboarded on ClimateCamp and all incoming requests are handled via their collaboration portal." "By integrating supplier outreach and involvement – assigning actual emissions, targets and reduction projects – ClimateCamp allows us to closely monitor the Scope 3 footprint evolution." Peter Willaert, Ruben Pelckmans - we know there is a lots of work ahead of us, lets do this!
