𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀   Non-EU drivers working for Lithuanian haulier Rosteka, which transports goods for Amazon and Tesla, have gone on strike. Their demands? Unpaid wages and basic human rights. Through CSR Europe’s Responsible Trucking initiative (https://lnkd.in/e2hHdFjw), several brands are stepping up to enhance the social performance of their supply chain. 🌍 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆? On December 11th, CSR Europe’s Executive Director, Stefan Crets, joined Charmian (Char) Love (Natura &Co.), Facundo Etchebehere (Ambition Loop), and Dr Matthias Altmann in a thought-provoking discussion with Perrine Bouhana at a GlobeScan webinar. Together, we explored how companies can shape a more sustainable and impactful approach to advocacy. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀? 🔍 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁: Companies must align their internal actions with their external advocacy efforts to build trust with stakeholders. This involves being transparent about challenges and progress and engaging #employees and other internal stakeholders in #advocacy initiatives. 👣 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀: Effective advocacy requires practical, on-the-ground #engagement.
