About us
Decomo SA, based in Mouscron, Belgium designs and manufactures bespoke elements in architectural precast concrete. Man's knowledge, experience and skill remain the key factors in the design and manufacture of architectural precast concrete, however, at Decomo, these attributes are supported by a specialised production facility which is continually being enhanced through planned ongoing investments. Within the company's 'in-house' design department, the project manager follows every step of every project from planning to execution in each of the seven European countries that Decomo operate : each country having its own typical building traditions, style and regulations, which Decomo adapt their management structure and procedures to suit. Decomo's philosophy, however, is not only governed by the vision of any particular project, it also cares for both environmental issues and for the 'harmony' of a building within its immediate surroundings.

Last Friday, 18-20 Greycoat Place was Highly Commended in the New Building Cladding Precast category at the 2024 Natural Stone Awards, organised by the Stone Federation Great Britain. Located in the heart of Westminster, the mixed-use workspace, retail and residential building’s crafted façade meanders the curved line of the street, with scalloped red sandstone pilasters which reference the neighbouring Art Deco inspired Artillery House. The judges were “immediately impressed by this building, from arrival to departure” and commented that “the exterior red sandstone frame is striking, with its natural veining and inclusions adding particular interest for the passer-by.” Find out more about 18-20 Greycoat Place here: https://lnkd.in/e3U_MWC4

We are delighted to announce that 18-20 Greycoat Place, London was Highly Commended in the New Build Cladding Precast category at the 2024 Natural Stone Awards. 18-20 Greycoat Place is a new seven-storey building in the heart of Victoria, at the intersection comprising four floors of workspace with duplex apartments on the upper floors, the ground floor is animated on all three sides with an office reception and retail use. The Judges noted that they were “immediately impressed by this building, from arrival to departure. The exterior red sandstone frame is striking, with its natural veining and inclusions adding particular interest for the passer-by. The effect is heightened during wet weather. Most impressive is the seamless shape-shifting that occurs in the main columns. Starting as plain ashlar profiles, they gradually change as they rise up the building, to become almost concave just below the main spandrel.
