The CTL research team (Stephen Kome, Steffel Feudjio, Prof. Luca Persia, and Davide Shingo Usami) collaborated with experts from ENSTP Yaoundé-Padoue (Idris SEUNDA and Jean François Wounba (Ph.D.)) to assess safety measures in collective taxis. Their findings revealed the prevalence of risky driving behaviors among collective taxi drivers and the significant associations between risk perceptions and involvement in risky driving behaviors. 🎉𝐖𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬! ECTRI celebrates Professor George Yannis of the National Technical University of Athens and ECTRI Board member for completing his ambitious 30 Marathons in 30 Months Challenge, demonstrating exceptional dedication to road safety. Speeding remains a primary cause of road crashes and pedestrian casualties in cities worldwide. Through this initiative, Professor Yannis has extended his advocacy for road safety beyond academic circles, running 30 marathons to promote the adoption of 30 km/h speed limits in cities globally. This speed limit is crucial for creating safer, healthier, and more sustainable urban environments. His final marathon in Athens, concluding at the historic Panathinaikon Marble Stadium, symbolises the steady progress towards sustainable urban mobility. ECTRI was happy to support Professor Yannis' vision and achievement! Through this type of efforts, we can work towards improving safety in our cities. Let's keep the momentum going — #GeorgeRuns30x30 #30x30Challenge #ECTRISupports #30kmhForSaferCities 👉 https://lnkd.in/eg75ngGG
