💡 How Do Gas Stoves Affect Indoor Air Quality – What Does Science Tell Us? Did you know that common household gas stoves can release harmful pollutants like nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) and carbon monoxide (CO)? In spaces with poor ventilation, these emissions can reach unsafe levels, potentially impacting respiratory health- especially for children and the elderly. I recently wrote this article for the EDIAQI EU blog, where I explored the science behind these emissions and practical steps to improve indoor air quality. Researching and writing about this topic has been an insightful experience, helping me better understand the challenges and solutions for creating healthier living spaces. Did you know that common household gas stoves can release nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) and carbon monoxide (CO), pollutants that may exceed safe levels in poorly ventilated spaces? Studies link prolonged exposure to these emissions with respiratory risks, especially for children and the elderly. The latest article on the EDIAQI blog breaks down the science behind these emissions and offers practical ways to manage them in your own home. 🌍🚸 The recording is out! Watch the second episode of the SynAir-G project’s workshop, focusing on improving Indoor Air Quality in schools and safeguarding children’s health. It was an honour for EDIAQI to join the panel, where we discussed our contributions to the inaugural IDEAL Cluster policy brief. We emphasised the critical need to amplify IAQ research, underlining that air pollution poses a major threat to public health. Achieving a zero-pollution Europe by 2050 means eliminating all indoor pollution sources. 🎥 Catch insights from IAQ experts, EU policymakers, and Greek education stakeholders as they discuss SynAir-G’s innovative approach to creating healthier environments for students across Europe. 🔗 Watch the recording: https://lnkd.in/d3KS3vZN #IndoorAirQuality #ChildrensHealth #SynAirG #IAQ #CleanAirForAll #EUResearch SynAir-G - KHEALTHinAIR EU Project - LEARN Project - TWINAIR - InChildHealth - INQUIRE - IDEAL Cluster
