Continuing our series on RUMIGEN’s young researchers, meet Renzo Bonifazi a researcher at Wageningen University & Research (Wageningen). Together with colleagues from NMBU - Norwegian University of Life Sciences and INRAE his work has looked at how #GenomicSelection may impact the genetic diversity of European local breeds 🐮. The insights from their work will be useful for breeding organisations and in turn for farmers to help them maintain genetic diversity in local breeds.
