🎉 On 10 December 2024 at EURid we celebrate 1️⃣5️⃣ years of IDNs for .eu domain names. On this occasion, we are glad to share a new idnworldreport.eu article with you, read it at https://lnkd.in/ew8H-Tju 📈 At the end of Q3 2024, we recorded 38 279 IDNs under all .eu extensions in EU scripts - 34 421 under .eu in Latin, 1 296 under .ею in Cyrillic and 2 562 under .ευ in Greek. 🌍 It is essential that IDNs behave just like other domain names and work, display and resolve correctly and that is why we continue our support efforts towards Universal Acceptance (UA) #Internet4all #doteu ICANN Universal Acceptance Steering Group - UASG

Tomorrow, the .eu Day, our flagship event powered by EURid, in cooperation with European Internet Forum and EuroDIG - European Dialogue on Internet Governance, will place the spotlight on digital policy and will open up the debate on the grand idea of a trusted and secure internet for all Europeans. Internet governance directly impacts the way all of us Europeans access, use, and benefit from the internet. That's why we decided to organise the .eu Day with the participation of key stakeholder groups - from policy-makers and international organisations to the .eu community and the young generation.
