🍫✨ The recent The British Society of Flavourists Workshop on Chocolate was a true feast for the senses! EFFA had the pleasure of hosting a day filled with fascinating discussions on chocolate aroma, flavour innovation, and surprising pairings. The journey began with @Peter Schieberle guiding us through the incredible transformation of chocolate. From AI-enhanced cocoa quality with Erica liberto to the unique possibilities of craft chocolate with Spencer Hyman, from the technology behind coca with Michel Aubanel to the fermentation of coca beans with Clay Gordon and Zoi Papalexandratou, each session offered fresh insights and incredible tastings. A special mention goes to Heather Spooner for her award-winning poster, and David Nilsen for exploring the harmony between craft beer and chocolate. 🍻 Jimena Gomez de la Flor brought the #FlavourofEurope concept to life, sharing how EFFA's regulatory, advocacy and communication initiatives empower flavourists across Europe and the importance of associations such as #EFFA, The UK Flavour Association and #BSF. A huge thank you to our Sonya for the organisation and to Annabella van Ruth for her invaluable help. And of course, a big shout out to Andrea Albertino, BSF President, for spearheading this wonderful initiative.
