🗓️ What a great start to the week! On Monday, some of our members joined the EU Bioeconomy Clusters Alliance launch in Brussels. ❗ From CluBE-Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia (Greece) Yannis Fallas signed the MOU while from CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia) CEO Elias Atienza Alonso was present. The initiative intends to build connections between diverse stakeholders and sectors to harness the bioeconomy potential in #European regions. 🟢 Bioeconomy clusters are key to creating critical mass, building local value chains, engaging SMEs and the primary sector, and fostering skills development. Joining forces is essential to accelerate the deployment and scaling up of biotech and biomanufacturing. To do so, regions need to develop regional strategies with clear targets that prioritise specific value chains. Access to finance, talents and infrastructures is crucial to boost competitiveness while responding to current climate change impacts. 🟣 The new EU Bioeconomy Clusters’ Alliance is connecting 14 clusters from 11 European countries. This event was organised by SPRING - Italian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster and hosted by Flanders' FOOD. #CircularBioeconomy #Innovation #Sustainability

Another #HorizonEurope project launched! We have attended the kick-off of FertiCovery Project last week in Enschede, the Netherlands. FertiCovery Project is a Horizon Europe initiative aiming at advising policymakers and stakeholders on alternative fertilising products, ensuring balanced nitrogen and phosphorus flows and promoting soil health at regional and local scale, in line with the EU’s Soil Strategy for 2030. It was our pleasure to organise the INN-PRESSME project final event yesterday! The INN-PRESSME project has supported European companies to test and upscale advanced #biomaterials in the #packaging, energy, transport, and consumer goods sectors. It was fascinating to hear testimonials from companies such as Woamy, ecorbio and CelluCircle, and discover how the #OpenInnovation Test Bed services have helped their product development activities. We have kicked off another Horizon Europe project! 🥳 iiintroducing... EEETHOS! EEETHOS is aimed at transforming industrial #heating processes. It will develop and demonstrate up-and-coming solutions, enabling heavy industries, such as #asphalt, pulp & paper, #steel and #bricks, to make an important step in the #greentransition. Partners met for the first time at the facilities of the coordinator, Danish Technological Institute in Aarhus to kick start the project.
