💥 Not so… Blind dating @ The Festival of the Future! 💥 On November 26th, The ProteInn Club took the stage at The Festival of the Future for a dating session like no other! 👫💘 Raw material suppliers and protein producers searched for their perfect match in the fascinating world of microbial proteins. ·      ArcelorMittal and Cargill were looking for their ideal partner. ·      Avecom, Biotalys and Those Vegan Cowboys brought their A-game. ·      Biolynx, Promyc and Bolder Foods shared their latest innovations! 🌍 Last week we had a Thriving International Gathering. Together we explored the #JourneyToMicrobialProteinMarvels! With 230 participants from across Europe and beyond, we welcomed a dynamic audience of 🏭 companies, 🔬 knowledge institutions, and 🧾 policymakers. Experts in food, feed, biotechnology development, technology provision, and ingredient production came together to share knowledge and insights. 🔍 A key highlight were the open-door tours at Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, Instituut voor Landbouw, Visserij- en Voedingsonderzoek (ILVO) and Food Pilot A key message was the #EuropeanCommission’s recognition of biotechnology and biomanufacturing as enabling technologies for achieving its long-term goals. This aligns perfectly with the #FlemishProteinStrategy and the #IndustrialPolicies of Flanders, which aim to secure the growth of strategic industrial sectors—where biotechnology plays a pivotal role. Thanks to the strong #complementarity between ILVO, Food Pilot, and BBEPP, and the seamless integration of new and existing pilot lines, labs, and research facilities, we can now support an endless variety of test setups. From identifying suitable #microorganisms and #nutrient substrates to assessing #proteinquality, #taste, #digestibility, and even tackling complex challenges like #LCA, #TechnoEconomicAnalysis, and #legislation.
