Empowering Change Through Solidarity 🌱 Real transformation begins with one powerful idea: #solidarity. In a world where #inequality, #poverty, and #climatechange affect millions, we work to encourage partnerships that empower communities to take control of their futures. On this International Human Solidarity Day, we reaffirm our commitment to building bridges and strengthening capacities. ✅ Strengthening #capacities: From empowering entrepreneurs in East Africa to equipping farmers in Latin America with climate-resilient skills, we work hand-in-hand with communities to build lasting resilience and opportunity. ✅ Driving #inclusion: Solidarity means ensuring that women, youth, and vulnerable groups are included in leadership, decision-making, and economic growth. ✅ Promoting #sustainability: Together with our local partners, we support ecological farming practices and promote sustainable market access, proving that business growth and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. We co-create ecosystems of change. Each of our projects expresses #solidarity across borders, cultures, and challenges. #CapacityBuilding #SustainableDevelopment #InclusiveGrowth #TriasImpact

Global challenges like climate change, pandemics, and conflicts are escalating, and the need for international cooperation has never been greater. Yet, #Belgium invests only 0.44% of its #GNI in international solidarity—far below the agreed United Nations target of 0.7%. These challenges don’t just impact low-income countries—they threaten global stability, including Belgium. Rising energy prices, pandemics, and climate crises show how interconnected our world is. Without sufficient funding, the risk of poverty, inequality, and conflicts grows, with far-reaching consequences for everyone. Together with 11.11.11, CNCD-11.11.11, and over 120 Belgian leaders from diverse sectors, we’ve made a powerful call to action. In an opinion piece published in De Morgen and Le Soir, we urge Belgium to prioritize international development cooperation. Read more : https://lnkd.in/eB44CP3T

As part of the Belgian Economic Mission to Brazil, Trias NGO - Global has had the privilege of connecting with Flemish and Brazilian companies, research institutes, universities, and entrepreneurial individuals. This opportunity, made possible by hub.brussels, Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), and other organising partners, has allowed us to explore innovative solutions to global challenges and forge new partnerships to drive sustainable change. On November 28th, Gisele Obara, representing Trias NGO - Global, participated in a dynamic panel discussion at hub.brussels' Impact Day, held at Casa G20 in Rio de Janeiro. The theme? Business and Sustainable Agriculture: Innovation for Social and Environmental Impact. 🌾 Joined by Amazonia Bio, CashewNotes, and Fyteko, Gisele Obara spotlighted how Trias NGO - Global empowers youth and women, fostering social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and entrepreneurship. She emphasized that working closely with partners and local communities—starting from their needs —is the foundation for building a sustainable future. 💪 This vision was further echoed by Marcos Gomes, Access to Market Advisor at Unicafes Nacional, during his discussion with HRH Princess Astrid. Marcos Gomes reinforced the importance of partnerships and community-driven initiatives, showcasing their critical role in creating tangible social and economic impacts. 🌟 The day also celebrated the incredible work of family farmers united in Unicafes supported by Trias NGO - Global. These farmers transform raw ingredients into unique delicacies, organise national and international distribution, and lead efforts to bring these products to new markets. 👏 A special thanks to hub.brussels, Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), and all the organising partners for providing this platform to inspire and connect! #SustainableAgriculture #TriasImpact #Unicafes #BEmissionBRA

✨ Inclusion Begins with Connection: Insights from Trias Connects Trias Connects brought Belgian partners to the Dominican Republic to learn from Dominican partners' inclusive and sustainable practices. Here are some key takeaways: ✅ Inclusion goes beyond cultural diversity – gender, age, and socio-economic background also play a significant role. ✅ Recognizing privileges is essential to better understand and address obstacles to Inclusion. ✅ Innovation drives change – Young people in the Dominican Republic are using drones to make the agricultural sector more sustainable and efficient. ✅ Strong leadership programs, like those of our colleagues and Dominican partners, are a powerful tool to empower women, youth, and vulnerable groups. Participants gained tons of inspiration for their organizations. But Trias Connects doesn't stop at inspiration alone. Trias continues to guide Belgian partners in prioritizing inclusion further and giving concrete shape to their trajectories. Jens Depelchin, Director of Trias België, adds: "Together, we take concrete steps and build long-term collaborations. All of this with one goal in mind: a society where Inclusion is not just an ideal, but the norm."
