Domestic and gender-based violence continues to escalate, and it is particularly pressing in #Ukraine, where the war has intensified the need for swift, effective responses to violence.   European Commission, #Denmark, and UNDP have partnered to provide nine new vehicles to Ukraine's National Police. These will enhance the mobility and responsiveness of police teams across nine key regions, ensuring timely support and protection for survivors of violence.   The initiative is part of a broader coordinated effort to combat violence and protect human rights in the face of conflict. Modernization of the civil registration system is vital for the development of an e-government system in #Tajikistan.   Together with the European Commission, UNDP supports the modernization of the country's #civilregistration. This initiative aims to enhance #publicservice delivery in Tajikistan, ensuring citizens have access to efficient and digitally-enabled services.   Officials from Tajikistan had a study trip to #Moldova to gain insights into e-governance practices, inter-agency coordination, and citizen-focused service models. In #Uzbekistan, sustainable agriculture solutions are changing the lives of entire communities. 💧✨ A new solar-powered drip irrigation system funded by a UNDP-European Union initiative allows Sahobat and nine other households to farm more effectively and increase their harvest. Having suffered from water scarcity for years, the community heavily depended on leftover farm water, which caused disputes among neighbors and often led to crops drying out before they could be harvested. The new irrigation system has helped resolve water-related disputes, made farming more efficient and increased the harvests by two to three times, helping the families save money and invest int their children's education.
