🔚 Waste2Func is slowly approaching its end. 📅 On the 7th of November between 10:00-12:30, we are organising our final event! 📋 We will showcase all nice results we have obtained in the last 3,5 years, including a panel discussion with our consortium partners and important players in the bioeconomy field such as EuropaBio - the European Association for Bioindustries and Cefic. There is also room for reflection on the results of the project and its importance for future policy making by representatives of DG Agri, DG RTD and DG Grow of the European Commission. Finally, also representatives of Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) and Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) will highlight the importance of the results for the future of innovations in bio-economy. After a busy summer and a busy 🎒 back to school 🎒 period, Waste2Func is back on track for its final stretches! 📢 We want to start with announcing that in the past months one of the two follow-up Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) funded projects 🏄♀️ Surfs-Up project 🏄♂️ has kicked off officially. In this project we will further establish the Biosurfactant line of Waste2Func. We will demonstrate optimized and cost-efficient processes for 9 second generation (2G) SSbD biosurfactant products that will be formulated in prototypes in home- and personal care and agrochemical applications Please have a look on the website: www.surfs-up.eu and enjoy our fancy logo below!

➡ Reminder! This Monday 24th of June, Esthèle Goure will moderate a workshop at the EUBCE - European Biomass Conference & Exhibition in Marseille. This workshop will be co-organised by EU Project LUCRA, also under the wings of Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant as coordinator. Both projects enable the usage of organic waste streams for production of high value biochemicals. In this general workshop we would like to share our experiences in the projects, as well as listening to your experiences as feedstock owner or as technology owner looking into using 2G feedstocks for your biobased processes. Join us between 14:00 and 15:30 in room "Sugiton" in Marseille! ➡ On top!
