What You Will Do
The Senior Accountant assumes a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations. This position involves managing complex financial tasks, and supporting junior staff.
Where you will have impact
Financial Operations Management:
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and reconciliation processes. Drive efficiency and scalability in these core functions as we continue our rapid growth.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Consolidate financial data, perform in-depth variance analysis, and provide insightful commentary on financial performance to support strategic decision-making at the highest levels.
- Support and manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including general ledger entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Implement best practices to ensure timely and accurate closures in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
- Contribute to the controlling responsibilities, including overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with internal controls, analyzing variances, and contributing to the optimization of financial processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancement and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. You'll have the opportunity to implement innovative solutions and contribute to building a world-class finance function.

Our senior accountants play a crucial role in supporting our junior accountants. - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Master's preferred), or equivalent through experience.
- Audit and/or controlling experience.
- You have a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial administration and reporting.
- You are capable of working effectively in a team and contributing to a cooperative work environment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong Proficiency in Financial Software and Tools: Including Excel.
- Familiarity with Accounting Principles and Practices.
- Excellent Communication Skills: For effective collaboration and reporting.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Dutch is a plus.
- Able to set objectives, conduct thorough analyses, foster collaboration with passion, and communicate effectively.
