Tasks
Main Responsibilities
As we continue to grow, we are transitioning our accounting function from being primarily managed by external accountants to establishing an in-house setup. We are looking for a motivated individual to drive and manage this transition independently while building a robust internal accounting function.
You will report directly to the COO and work closely with stakeholders across the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with flexibility and adaptability.

You will report directly to the COO and work closely with stakeholders across the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with flexibility and adaptability.
As we are building up the function, your responsibilities will be very broad:
- Lead the transition from external to in-house accounting.
- Build and manage the in-house accounting function.
- Own the month-end and year-end reporting and closing processes.
- Develop and implement scalable accounting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Select and manage the accounting software that will best serve the company’s needs going forward.
- Set up a consolidation process for the company's three entities.
- Manage relationships with tax advisors and external accountants to address local GAAP-specific requirements.
- Set up and manage the audit process, including relationships with auditors.
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice creation, and treasury management.
- Oversee treasury needs across multiple entities, including accounts payable, wire transfers, and payments.
- Assist with the preparation of yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Provide support on transfer pricing matters.
- Certified accountant with 5+ years experience in financial and/or startup environments.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
