And it's a wrap! ✔️ The Seas to Skies conference is now officially behind us. After two days of panels, and exchanges about successes and hurdles that all projects are encountering on their paths towards a more sustainable aviation and maritime sector, it is safe to say that collaboration is more than ever on everyone's mind. 👏 After the Skyhall yesterday, hosted by Brussels Airport, today we were in Antwerp, with the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. Two days, two different atmospheres, but always the same goal: building bridges and working together. First day done! ✈️ The first day of the Seas to Skies conference was a success, with representatives from all over Europe to discuss the five Green Deal projects for ports and airports. 🚢 Passionate discussions, exchanges and even heated debates today in Brussels Airport's Skyhall on how to make the maritime and aviation sectors greener. One thing is clear: the future of the Green Deal projects, and of our sectors in general, will only be possible through collaboration! Thank you to everyone present, from the academic, private and public sectors. 🚌 Autonomous mobility on tarmac? Today we unveiled our autonomous shuttle to the public! After 1 month of tests, we made our Stargate electric shuttle available to the Brussels Airport staff for 3 months of intensive tests on tarmac—a first in Belgium. How would we sum up Stargate's 6th General Assembly? A dynamic day of collaboration, innovation and inspiration! 🤝   Another successful Stargate General Assembly in the books! This biannual event brought together our partners for a day of sharing, learning, and networking, this time hosted by Brussels Airport. From interactive workshops to inspiring keynotes, we covered it all! 🥇 Olympic gold medalist Félix Denayer OLY shared his insights on teamwork and goal achievement, while our CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency project and financial officers provided valuable guidance on project reviews. ✔ All Stargate partners took a look back together at everything achieved by the consortium so far, and a look at all the thrilling initiatives still ahead of us. 🍸 And, last but not least, we had a blast with our cocktail and mocktail workshop and a delicious dinner to thank all partners present at the event!   #GeneralAssembly #Collaboration #Innovation #StargateGreenDeal #SustainableAviation

Stargate Shines at International Events 🌍   Our team has been making waves on the international stage this week! While Charlotte Verreydt was representing Stargate at the International Civil Aviation Organization LTAG Stocktaking event in Montreal, Canada, our colleagues closer to home were equally busy.   Aaricia Lamonte delivered impactful presentations at the EASN - European Aeronautics Science Network Conference in Thessaloniki, Greece, on:   🛬 The CDO trials at BRU, shedding light on our work in optimising the vertical flight profile for landings in Brussels, through coordinated efforts with TUI, Brussels Airport, DHL, and skeyes.   ✈ The TaxiBot, in collaboration with VITO, providing insights into our tests. With Jan Peters from Vito, Aaricia shared the outcomes of our noise and UFP measurements, providing a deeper understanding of the technology's potential.   She was joined by Elisabeth Woeldgen and Sumit Maharjan from Hasselt University, who gave eye-opening sessions on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and its value chain.     Meanwhile, Pieter Leonard and Jonathan Rens were in Turin, at events organised by TULIPS – Green Airports in Turin, Italy:   ✈ At the TULIPS Progress Event, they witnessed the progress and evolution of the programme's many projects.   ⚡Today, they attended the second Airport Hydrogen Conference, where they presented Stargate's tests with hydrogen-powered ground handling vehicles and a mobile refuelling station.   As you can see, a lot is happening, so stay tuned for more updates on our projects!   #EUGreenDeal #StargateGreenDeal #SustainableAviation

Stargate is participating in the International Civil Aviation Organization LTAG Stocktaking event in Montreal this week! 🌍✈️ Our very own project coordinator Charlotte Verreydt will be sharing insights into the #EUGreenDeal program and how it is driving innovation at Brussels Airport. For Mobility Week, our mobility specialist Camille Lubon gave a keynote on Brussels Airport's mobility strategy. Within the Stargate consortium, we investigate the best and most sustainable ways to operate a mobility split at airports; driving staff and passengers to alternative green mobility solutions such as: 🚲 bikes, 🚅 public transportation, 🚕 and car-sharing solutions.
