Hoje, 11/12, é comemorado o Dia do Engenheiro, minha profissão e a de muitos do nosso setor. No domingo estive na Corrida do Engenheiro, em Macaé, para comemorar essa data ao lado de engenheiros e tantos outros profissionais que contribuem ativamente para nossa indústria, nossa economia e nossa sociedade. A corrida foi organizada pela SPE Macaé Section com Patrocínio Master da SLB. Fomos a 2ª maior empresa representada, apenas atrás da Petrobras. Agradeço ao time SLB pela participação ativa no evento! Para coroar esse momento de celebração, tivemos a participação das nossas famílias. Meus filhos também correram na categoria Kids. Uma alegria compartilhar momentos como esse com eles e ver, na prática, como um evento que ajudamos a realizar está realmente promovendo o bem-estar e a qualidade de vida. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Kledura Imalwa and Naomi Kamati for sending their video messages, in which they shared their thoughts on the topic "Unlocking Namibia's Offshore Potential: New Frontiers in Subsea Exploration and Development", which was part of Session 1 of Beyond the Limits: Excellence in Large-Scale Subsea Projects for a Deeper Future. Although they were unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, we were very grateful that they sent their message, allowing a glimpse of their valuable contributions to reach the audience. We also thank Marcio de Alencar, who kindly stepped in to present on their behalf during the session. We would like to extend our appreciation to our Chairs, Thais Helena Almeida and Eduardo Cardoso, for their excellent leadership of the session. Closing of the SPE Brazil Subsea Symposium 2024! The event was a milestone, bringing together industry experts and professionals to discuss the future of subsea technology, with innovative sessions and great networking opportunities. We thank everyone who participated and contributed to the success of the event. Under the theme "Heading Deeper, Cleaner, and Smarter," we explored the most advanced solutions for a more sustainable and intelligent future. I’m already looking forward to the next one! Semana bastante animada.   Como comentei em post recente, essa semana foi realizado o evento SPE Brazil Subsea Symposium no Rio de Janeiro. Tive a oportunidade de divulgar o livro 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 no estande da Petrobras no evento e quem passou por lá gostou bastante do produto e me cobrou para disponibilizar o quanto antes a versão impressa para o público externo, pois querem ter uma cópia para chamar de sua. Por enquanto só o e-book está disponível, mas em breve devo disponibilizar.   Aproveitei para entregar algumas cópias que estavam no radar devido ao apoio durante a elaboração do livro. Consegui entregar cópias para a Onesubsea (Carlos Tadeu Cunha Jr., Elaine Murphy Ratcliff e Volmir Korzeniewski) e para 3 Gerentes Gerais da SUB (Gustavo Calazans de Cerqueira, Marcus Vinicius Alves Araujo e Mariana Rosa Colaço Machado Fonseca Marques). Espero que apreciem o livro.   Além disso, fiz o sorteio de 2 cópias para os que deram uma passada no estande para prestigiar a divulgação do livro. Os contemplados foram Gabriel Cabral e Regan Ax. SPE Brazil Subsea Symposium 2024: An Inspiring Opening Session to Kick Off the Event! What an incredible start to the Subsea Symposium 2024! The opening session brought together industry leaders, global perspectives, and invaluable insights to set the tone for the days ahead. We were honored to hear from Anna Paula Lougon Duarte President of SPE Brazil, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in the subsea industry, as well as Carlos Alberto Pedroso 🇧🇷 SPE Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, who highlighted the role of the region in driving the future of energy. The event was flawlessly conducted by our master of ceremonies, Rafaela Rezende Vieira from Subsea7 whose energy and professionalism guided us through this exciting session. We also had remarkable keynote presentations: • Thais Vachala from Rystad Energy, who shared a global perspective on the subsea industry and its evolving trends. • Flavio Bretanha from Petrobras who provided a detailed overview of Petrobras’ strategy, including revitalization projects, complex subsea systems, and industry challenges. • Carlos Tadeu Cunha Jr. from OneSubsea who offered insights from an OEM and service provider perspective, focusing on demand anticipation, standardization, and technological investments. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, which I had the privilege to moderate. As the Executive Chair of the event, I was thrilled with the level of interaction and the depth of questions raised by our audience—it truly reflected the high caliber of professionals participating in the Symposium. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the volunteers, collaborators, and organizing team for making this session such a success. Your dedication and hard work are what make this event possible. The Symposium is off to an incredible start, and there’s so much more to come.
