A great time participating in the panel today at the International Civil Aviation Organization Innovation Fair. Together, we had a lively discussion about the role startups can play in the aviation ecosystem, in particular bringing AI to the industry in thoughtful and conscientious ways. I presented AI Redefined (AIR)'s work on Cogment Adaptive Learning, our platform for scaling personalized training tools in aviation, for example with air traffic controller training and eVTOL pilot training. In the panel discussion, we covered topics ranging from: - How and why our companies got involved in this space - How we can benefit the aviation industry with our solutions - What types of challenges and opportunities exist for startups in this industry - How we can address the need for increased sustainabilities - How the aviation industry might evolve in partnerships with startups Many thanks to my co-panellists Félix Bélisle Dockrill, Anthoine Dusselier, Zhenglin Xiong and Julian Jank for insights into how their businesses are changing the landscape of aviation, and what we together can think about for the future. And of course thanks to our moderator Richard Chenier for guiding a thoughtful discussion and to Chrystelle Damar and the rest of the organizers for putting on a great Innovation Fair!

There is a debate raging in the nascent AI world. Long context LLMs vs RAG for fine tuning. One certainty, context is critical in fine tuning, and both Gemini and RAG are innovative approaches to handling it. Gemini is a #LLM that uses a context-based architecture to generate more accurate and relevant responses. It achieves this by breaking down a conversation into a series of "moves," each of which is a unit of meaning that depends on the previous moves. By keeping track of the conversation's context in this way, #Gemini is able to generate responses that are more natural and engaging. #RAG , on the other hand, is a technique for grounding LLMs in reality by dynamically retrieving knowledge from external sources during inference. This allows the LLM to draw on a vast body of knowledge that it hasn't been explicitly trained on, which can improve its accuracy and ability to handle complex queries. AI Redefined has created a best-of-both-worlds solution that can generate accurate and engaging responses while also staying grounded in real-world knowledge. We do this by creating a context-rich digital twin from which we retrieve data dynamically. We’re looking for partners to help distribute these solutions. Let’s talk.

It illustrates how Cogment's multi-agent RL is used in industry, and for training sims especially!
