Last week we participated in DEEP TECH CANADA's 'Scaling Deep Tech for a Decarbonized Future' event. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn and connect with other decarbonization stakeholders that share our vision at Bioindustrial Innovation Canada. It’s encouraging to see so many aligned with our mission to decarbonize Canada’s industries through the advanced bioeconomy. Highlights included Karen Hamberg of Deloitte, whose presentation reinforced many of the recommendations from our 2019 National Bioeconomy Strategy. Ryan Martin of CarbonCure Technologies gave valuable insights into opportunities to decarbonize hard to abate industries—a crucial as Canada works to decarbonize its built environment sectors. Marie-Pierre Ippersiel of Pôle de recherche et d'innovation en matériaux avancés du Québec (PRIMA Québec) showed how Quebec is leading the charge, supporting projects in the cleantech space that push us toward sustainable innovation. There were so many great panels on the importance of standards and regulations, incentivizing integration of cleantech, and accelerating the export of our low-carbon technologies to the global market.   Overall, it was a great event, and we’re inspired by all the incredible work being done by so many stakeholders to decarbonize the future! #decarbonize #cleantech #lowcarbon #sustainability #Canada
