We are excited to attend and show our support for the Growing the North Conference, as building connections with our northern neighbours remains an important priority at YEG. Over the years, we have achieved many milestones such as improved connectivity to/from Grande Prairie, launched phase two of the drone delivery program with our partners with the aim to one day deliver goods to northern and remote regions efficiently and on time, worked with Buffalo Airways to improve the supply chain to Northern communities and partnered with Canadian North to open a new training facility at YEG. As we take flight into 2025, YEG is excited to continue our work with our partners to strengthen and grow our commitment to enhancing connectivity and economic opportunities in the North. #GrowingTheNorth

YEG took to the skies in 2024 to offer more flights to more places and welcomed 7.92 million passengers journeying through our airport! It was a year to remember as we grew our collection of non-stop destinations by adding Atlanta and announcing new 2025 service to Chicago, Houston and Salt Lake City. We also increased capacity on some of our most popular and important routes, such as Amsterdam, Denver, Grande Prairie, Regina, Saskatoon, Kelowna, Vancouver, Nashville and Montreal. We’re over the moon to have welcomed the highly experienced and decorated aviator and astronaut, Joshua Kutryk, to YEG today. He fascinated our team members with stories of his many adventures and accomplishments. Born just up the road in Fort Saskatchewan, Joshua’s career is the envy of anyone interested in aviation and space. He will be the next Canadian to fly to the International Space Station. This will be the first mission by a Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne astronaut under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program.
