  • We’re always excited to partner with Discovery Centre to engage with youth about energy efficiency, and our Free Access Day was no exception! Our interactive booths featured hands-on activities to explore the technology behind clean energy production and materials used for efficient home heating and insulation. We were thrilled to see 700 attendees take advantage of this free opportunity to explore sustainability, technology, and the environment and we look forward to more events in 2025!

  • Reducing their energy use not only allowed Copol International to save on operating costs, but shifted their culture toward sustainability. By participating in our Strategic Energy Management program, Copol now saves approximately $160,000 a year. "We could not have done this alone. Efficiency Nova Scotia makes it very easy. Before, energy was not something we'd really talk about - now, it is part of the culture." - Denis Lanoë, Copol International Check out the video to hear more of their story.

  • It was an honour to connect with industry leaders and partners at the Atlantic Canada Solar Summit again this year. Atlantic Canada has one of the fastest-growing clean-energy sectors in North America, and there’s a significant opportunity for solar power to play a key role in decarbonizing the electricity grid and helping with demand. Through our SolarHomes program and the Canada Greener Homes Initiative, almost 10,000 solar PV systems have now been installed in Nova Scotia, increasing renewable generation in the province by about 100MW. Together these solar PV systems will save Nova Scotians almost $19M in energy costs in 2024 alone. We’re proud to have grown the number of solar providers in our Efficiency Preferred Partner Network from 13 to 88 over the past six years, and it was great to see so many in attendance at the event. Thank you to these invaluable partners for helping us transform the way we use energy here in Nova Scotia!

  • As proud supporters of Feed Nova Scotia, we were thrilled to lend a hand this holiday season. Our team came together to “Stuff-A-Bus” with 13 boxes of non-perishable food items along with monetary donations to help fill pantries across the province. Some of our elves also volunteered in the warehouse and popped up at various giftwrapping stations to help collect donations. Whether it’s pitching in over the holidays or providing support through efficiency upgrades, we’re always honoured to work with this great organization.
