On this International Migrants Day, we honour newcomers' strength, resilience and invaluable contributions to enhancing cultural diversity, driving innovation, and strengthening social bonds. Every journey tells a story of courage and hope, reminding us that migration is not just about movement—it's about seeking a better life and creating connections that enrich our communities. In Canada, newcomers, including refugees, have consistently played a significant role in shaping the nation’s identity and fostering prosperity. Their hard work and dedication span various sectors, from construction to healthcare, making them essential to the economic growth and our communities. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment that values everyone's skills, talents, and perspectives, regardless of their background or origin. As we celebrate this important day, let’s reaffirm our commitment to building a community where all can belong and grow. Together, we build a future in Nova Scotia that embraces diversity and inclusion for all. #InternationalMigrantsDay #Inclusion #Diversity #Community

#ISANS is thrilled to announce the opening of the ISANS Youth and Family Centre—a dedicated space designed to empower immigrant youth. This centre provides a welcoming environment for youth to explore their potential, develop essential skills, and gain confidence as they navigate their educational and career journeys in Nova Scotia. With programs like the Immigrant Youth Employability Program (IYEP) and the Immigrant Youth Career Exploration Project (IYCEP), the centre addresses barriers and fosters growth, thanks to the support of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada / Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada and Department of Community Services (DCS).
