And it’s a wrap on the WOMEN’S HEALTH CONFERENCE AND BENEFIT COCKTAIL! On October 1st, our CEO Nanette Sene spoke at the women’s health conference hosted by Fondation du Centre universitaire de santé McGill / McGill University Health Centre Foundation. A total of 40 000$ was raised to put towards thevresearch of women's health issues. Thank you to all who came to spend the evening with us, your enthusiasm was greatly appreciated. The Women’s health conference was enlightening as it highlighted the lack of information around the female body. Notably, we learned that: “1 out of 3 women dies of cardiovascular disease each year”- Judy Luu Diagnosis of heart disease in women can often be missed, simply because symptoms can show up very differently on female anatomy than it does on male anatomy. We can all make a difference by spreading information and supporting organizations like the McGill University Health Centre Foundation, which is currently working to facilitate research around women’s health. It was a pleasure to share a mic with so many brilliant minds who are just as passionate as we are about women’s health! Until next time 💜

Menstruation might cause loss of productivity: but not because of absenteeism. A study has found that 80.7 % of women reported presenteeism during their period, which is the act of showing up to work or to school without being productive. Most women reported negative impact in every aspect of their work life during their period, and some reported loosing income due to absences. The main culprit being dysmenorrhea. Despite dysmenorrhea being a widespread issue amongst women of all ages, it is rarely mentioned in professional settings because of the taboo. Many would rather suffer in silence than be made to feel less than. We believe that it is time for a change. No woman deserves to suffer silently and be limited by something as simple as period cramps. That is why Juno has worked hard to create a device that is portable, discreet, and drug-free. We have worked closely with healthcare professionals to create a product that is safe for all. If you too believe that women deserve to excel in their field, pain free, give us a follow! “They don’t experience it, so they cannot understand it to the fullest either” Menstrual pain can be extremely alienating.
