🗓 MARK YOUR CALENDARS! ✅️ This will help you understand how a program like #immplus (IM&M+) can make a difference to our most vulnerable job seekers with barriers. Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology is running a cohort for youth (18-30) starting in January 2025. If you or a client is interested please email career@mitt.ca
SAVE THE DATE & register via Eventbrite for January 22 "Breaking the Spin Cycle" Webinar, 1-2pm EST with our own Donnalee Bell, Co-Executive Director and Trina Stanford, Project Manager. For several years, the Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF) has heard anecdotally from Career Development Professionals (CDPs) about a significant challenge in Canada’s publicly funded career and employment services. The current one-size-fits-all approach, which aims to place individuals in jobs or training quickly, overlooks the crucial pre-employability needs of many clients. This lack of tailored support creates a damaging "spin cycle," where clients repeatedly return to services after unsuccessful attempts at work or training. Join us for a compelling 1-hour online webinar as we explore new research on the extent of the issue and how CCDF, with the wisdom of CDPs, is attempting to address it through the In Motion & Momentum+(IM&M+) program. Hear first-hand from CDPs who will share their experiences implementing IM&M+ and its impact on addressing pre-employment needs. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your practice and contribute to meaningful change in the career development sector! Register today via Eventbrite or email Trina at t.stanford@ccdf.ca! https://lnkd.in/eqaQMrpS
