In a recent national poll by Leger and Farmers for Climate Solutions - Fermiers pour la transition climatique, farmers and ranchers across Canada identified climate change as a top challenge facing agriculture over the next decade. Producers are deeply concerned about how this will impact their yields and the economic sustainability of their operations. Some key notes from the study: 🔵 A majority of farms and ranches are already struggling with severe weather driven by climate change. More than three quarters of operations have been impacted by severe weather in the past five years. 🔵 Farmers and ranchers are ready and willing to adopt a variety of new practices that will improve the resilience of their operations, but they must be economically sustainable. Developing policies and programs that incentivize their adoption will be vital. 👉 Dig into the results, stay informed: https://lnkd.in/eRbKqnfD
