About us

Novaporte is a 2000+ acre fully permitted greenfield port that will be North America's next-generation transportation, energy and logistics mega hub in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. Led by CEO and Founder, Albert Barbusci, Novaporte is a partnership between Sydney Harbour Investment Partners (SHIP) and Indigenous equity partners, Membertou First Nations, led by Chief Terry Paul. Strategically situated 6 miles off the great circle route in a sheltered, ice-free harbour dredged to 16.5m, Novaporte has more than 500 acres of flat, waterside land, allowing for a 1600m (1.6 km) quay wall that will accommodate the world's largest container ships (ULCV), offshore wind marshalling, hydrogen production and export and ro-ro operations. Located less than 1km away from the port site is Novazone- a 1200-acre logistics park, a partnership with all 13 Indigenous communities in Nova Scotia. Novazone is perfectly suited for manufacturing, assembly, warehousing, cold storage, as well as hydrogen production.
