The Champlain #eConsult BASE™ service provides timely access to Endocrinology advice. Our research shows that endocrinologists are most commonly asked about medication adjustments in diabetes-related eConsults from primary care, representing 71% of all eConsult cases sent endocrinology on the Champlain eConsult BASE™ platform. In almost half of cases, face-to-face referrals are avoided. Accessing timely specialist care in Canada is a challenging health-care issue, but eConsult has proven to provide practice-changing advice.
