As experts when it comes to the local labour market, the article "Some Nova Scotia Parents Leaving Workforce due to Lack of Child Care" by Celina Aalders caught our attention and is worth sharing with employers of Nova Scotia trying to do their best to navigate their way through today's shifting labour market. It is a reminder of the importance of employee engagement and non-financial offerings that employers can provide to the talent they are trying to find, develop, and keep, from flexibility to remote work. As local labour market information experts, the following "Who's Moving to Nova Scotia?" article shared by Paula Knight of Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia is worth a quick read. In addition to untapped and under-represented talent pools already in the province of Nova Scotia, working with Opportunity Place - Nova Scotia Works and other service providers, the article provides insights to the numbers and importance of interprovincial migrants and immigrants. #HR #Recruitment #Retention #Inclusion #Diversity #Equity #Accessibility

The numbers tell an important story. "Were it not for people moving to Nova Scotia, the population would be in decline, with deaths outnumbering births." https://lnkd.in/eM5P2gZb

Our team has had the opportunity to take in the great and significant insights of Eddie Lemoine a couple times now. Therefore, the "Is Your Workplace Ready for 2025?" LinkedIn post caught our eyes. The question for employers now is not has and will remote work have an impact on finding, developing, and keeping the talent needed to survive and thrive in today's shifting labour market and going forward, as it is how much of an impact it will have. Job seekers, including occupations where one needs to be physically present, simply have and will have more choice going forward in terms of what career paths they pursue and employers that best align with their needs and wants, from compensation to work life balance. The competition for talent is going to be fierce and employers who prepare now, from building awareness of career opportunities with under-represented groups and youth to offering a competitive compensation package (financial and non-financial incentives) to hiring based on ability to contribute and train for the skills needed to making a true commitment to employee engagement, will be the best positioned to find, develop, and keep the talent they need! #HR #Recruitment #Retention #Inclusion #Diversity #Equity #Accessibility
