Ontario Pledges Additional Funds for Supportive Housing 📢 City officials and community partners gathered at 216 Murray Street in downtown Ottawa this morning, where the Ontario government announced an additional investment that will help to build more than 100 community, affordable, and/or supportive units across our city. Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Paul Calandra and Mayor of Ottawa Mark Sutcliffe, shared details about how the additional support will help more Ontarians find safe, secure, supportive housing. Representatives from Shepherds of Good Hope, Cornerstone Housing for Women and The Ottawa Mission specifically discussed how the funding will be used in the construction of several buildings across Ottawa. Our affiliate PBC Group, as Construction Manager of the 216 Murray project for Shepherds of Good Hope, was honored to host the announcement at the construction site which will be home to 48 supportive units and an industrial community kitchen by mid-2025. Our team had a wonderful time taking part in the Shepherds of Good Hope #TasteforHope event at the Centre Shaw Centre last night!   The sold-out foodie fundraiser was attended by many of Ottawa's community members and business leaders, rallying around the Shepherds of Good Hope organization to raise funds for their crucial services.
