This Week for #FabricationFriday – When Everything Comes Together Industrialized Construction works because of the connection between design, fabrication and installation. It’s not about what happens in one place or another—it’s about how every step is planned and executed to ensure the right pieces arrive at the right time and fit exactly as they should. At Gilmore Place, our team delivered and installed a fully prefabricated District Energy Utility room—a process that required careful planning, coordination and execution at every level. From mapping out logistics to working through site conditions, every detail had to align to keep things moving efficiently. This is where teamwork meets execution. Every decision along the way set the next step up for success, and when the time came to install, everything fit exactly as planned. Shoutout to Brenn Cameron, who played a key role in planning, and to Michael Lim, featured in the footage showing the final result. Most importantly, thanks to everyone who had a hand in making this happen. This past weekend, some members of The Incredible PMP team headed to Rugby 7s in Vancouver—a high-energy event that, much like construction, is all about skill, strategy and teamwork. At PMP, we know that great teams don’t just happen—they’re built. Whether it’s on-site, in the shop, or at events like this, collaboration is what drives success. Right now, we’re looking for more great people to join us. We’re hiring Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Coordinators and Foremen—people who bring leadership, problem-solving and a team-first mindset. A huge thank you to Nightingale Electrical Ltd for sharing their suite with us—always great connecting with others in the industry. We also greatly appreciated HNT Tools for sponsoring this event! We are proud to be part of the Oakridge Energy District Energy System (DES), a project that will provide centralized, high-efficiency heating and cooling to one of Canada’s largest redevelopments. A District Energy System (DES) distributes thermal energy to multiple buildings, reducing emissions and improving sustainability at scale. For a 5 million sq. ft. mixed-use community like Oakridge Park, this system ensures long-term energy performance and efficiency. Our recent site visit with President Steve Robinson and Project Manager Chris Carroll highlighted the incredible progress on-site. “The Oakridge Energy District Energy System is a great example of the kind of infrastructure that’s needed to support large-scale developments,” said Steve Robinson. “A centralized system like this doesn’t just improve efficiency—it significantly reduces environmental impact and helps set a new standard for how communities are powered. Projects like this don’t happen without strong collaboration, planning, and execution, and I couldn’t be prouder of our team and the work being done here.” Thank you to Maple Reinders, our general contractor, for their partnership in bringing this project to life. Looking forward to sharing more as the work continues. Proud to be working alongside Oakridge Energy: A Limited Partnership between Corix & Creative Energy on this transformative project. We are celebrating #FabricationFriday this week by looking back at an incredible few days at Advancing Prefabrication in Phoenix, where our team had the opportunity to present and connect with industry leaders pushing Industrialized Construction forward. Sam Revel, Jonathan Hooiveld, Tyler Kirkland, and Sara Searle shared insights on how early planning, coordination, and lessons learned have shaped our approach to multi-trade prefabrication. These discussions matter—not just for us, but for the entire industry as we continue to re-define how we build. Several sessions stood out, including: Exploring Data-Driven Contracting to Improve Project Productivity – Chris Hronek & Kipp Sturdivant, Tweet/Garot Mechanical, Inc. Enhancing Project Viability through Strategic Financing – Jaimie Johnston MBE from Bryden Wood & Lincoln Wood, Edged Collaborating with Other Trades in BIM to Ensure Project Progress and Ease of Installation – Ty Cassel, TDIndustries, Inc. Transforming Construction Through Technology-Enabled Solutions for Multi-Trade Prefabrication – Brad Drebit, MBA & Josh Mensinger, DIRTT From breakout sessions to discussions on the exhibition floor, this event reinforced the impact of collaboration, technology and prefabrication in shaping the future of construction. For those we connected with—let’s keep the conversation going. Many of the same voices driving change in industrialized construction, including Amy Marks, Nick Masci, and Melissa McEwen, will be joining us in Vancouver this April for Future of Work 2024. If you’re exploring what’s next for prefabrication, collaboration and technology in the trades, we’d love to see you there. A huge thank you to Amy Marks and the team behind Advancing Construction for creating a space that challenges the industry to think bigger. Looking forward to what’s next. #IndustrializedConstruction #Prefabrication #AdvancingPrefabrication #CollaborationInConstruction #FutureOfWork2024 #FabFriday

How do you execute a successful multi-trade prefabrication strategy? At Buildex Vancouver, we’ll be breaking down how early planning, trade alignment, and industrialized construction are redefining project delivery. Prefabrication isn’t just about moving work off-site—it’s about collaborating early, standardizing assemblies, and ensuring seamless on-site execution. Join Steve Robinson, Sam Revel, Matthew Bewsey, and Corey Clasen as they discuss: • The early decisions that determine the success of a multi-trade prefab strategy • How BIM, VDC, and real-time coordination improve efficiency • Lessons learned from delivering major institutional projects with prefabricated assemblies • Why surge planning and just-in-time delivery are critical to execution Buildex Vancouver February 27 | 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM Techcentric Stage (Booth 1603) If you’re in construction, prefabrication, or MEP coordination, this is a conversation worth having. Let’s talk about how multi-trade collaboration is shaping the future of the industry. If you’re looking for romance, you won’t find it here. But if you’re looking for a strong, reliable partner who keeps things efficient, safe, and built to last… well, let’s talk about fabrication. To celebrate both #FabricationFriday and Valentine’s Day, we’re sharing why we’re in a long-term relationship with prefabrication—and why we wouldn’t have it any other way. #FabricationFriday #BuiltWithLove #IndustrializedConstruction #BetterTogether

Starting a new job in construction takes more than just skill—it requires the right gear, which isn’t always easy to access. Last week, we had the opportunity to visit Working Gear Clothing Society, an organization making a real impact by providing free workwear and PPE to those looking to enter the workforce. What started as a simple clothing resource has grown into an essential support system, particularly for men pursuing careers in construction. PPE can be expensive, and for many, it’s a barrier to getting started in the trades. By reducing that hurdle, Working Gear is helping more people step into careers that build our cities and shape our industry. We’re proud to support their work and look forward to partnering further to ensure that opportunity in construction is accessible to all. The best ideas don’t happen in isolation. One of the things we appreciate most is the opportunity to connect with others in the industry—sharing insights, learning from each other and finding better ways to build. This week, we received a message that stuck with us: "I can’t think of any other company to learn from than yours!" We don’t take that lightly. The conversations we have—whether in the shop, on-site or at events—push us to think differently and keep improving. As we gear up for Future of Work 2025, we’re looking forward to more of these moments that challenge us, inspire us and move the industry forward together. #FabricationFriday #IndustrializedConstruction #FutureOfWork #BetterTogether
