We've built such meaningful relationships in the ASEAN region over the last few months, including a significant membership with the Canada-ASEAN Business Council. The trip will be a fantastic opportunity to further deepen our relationship with key stakeholders in the ASEAN region and reinforce our law firm's commitment to being a key player in developing our business ecosystem further. I'll admit it. We got carried through the tournament. Thanks Toronto. Moreover, thanks South Asian Bar Association (SABA) of North America for the invitation to speak. This year’s conference was full of energy. Had an awesome time joining some friends including Hamel Vyas, Ashish Bhatt, Manpreet S. Dhanjal and Ravi Jain on a discussion around the world of Canadian and US immigration. It was a packed room. Immigration effects everyone, and every industry. The conversation was necessary. Can’t forget about our rockstar moderators Mala Bajpai and Rohit Biswas on carrying us through the session. Definitely left the conference a proud Board Member of South Asian Bar Association of Calgary (SABA Calgary) and was happy to join our fearless leader and captain Harinder Basra on this excursion. It’s been almost 20 years since Canada hosted this conference and SABA Toronto held it down for the whole squad. Excellent job on the execution, team. Onwards we go. See you next year!

My parents put everything into their children's education. For that I will forever remain grateful. This award was really a full circle moment for them. My parents came to Canada with nothing, but it was their education that helped make them something. It's why my parents pushed us in the direction of Rundle College Society where we attained access to some of the best educators of the time. A few weeks ago, as I sat in my Singapore hotel room on yet another trade mission, I was contacted and informed that I would be receiving the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award for Rundle College Society. I was shocked, but humbled. A big shout out to the man, the legend, Aaron Goettel (or "Mr. Goettel" as we really know him as) for being the champion of the Rundle Alum organization. He's been the main driver for keeping us in contact and opening doors to share our experiences with future thought leaders at the institution.
