💰 Mr. Wonderful has big plans for AI in Alberta. Dragons' Den TV star and investor Kevin O'Leary has announced his intent to develop Wonder Valley, an off-grid natural gas and geothermal-powered industrial park for AI data centers. Get all the project details here: https://lnkd.in/ggPUjncX The $70 billion project in Greenview, Alberta would the largest facillity of its kind on the globe and be built out over several phases by O'Leary Ventures. "Given existing permits, proximity to stranded sources of natural gas, pipeline infrastructure, water and a fiber optic network within just a few kilometers of the Greenview Industrial Gateway, we will be in the ground and up and running sooner than any scale project of its kind," said O'Leary.

👷 Ontario has introduced major legislation that could impact the construction sector. Here's some of what the Working for Workers Six Act would do: ✍ A new regulation for washroom cleaning records that covers what records must be posted and where. ✍ explicitly requiring properly-fitting personal protective equipment (PPE) for women, and all workers with diverse body shapes. ✍ Returning $2 billion in surplus funds to safe Ontario businesses through the WSIB. For a small construction business with 50 employees, this could mean receiving $46,000. ✍ Removing some apprentice exam fees and creating alternative criteria for individuals who cannot meet the current academic standards to register as an apprentice. ✍ Honouring workers by creating a new Skilled Trades Week during the first week of November each year. To learn about all the changes, check out our full story: https://lnkd.in/d6iwTd75 Let us know what you think about these proposed changes in the comments!
