  • 👷 Ontario has introduced major legislation that could impact the construction sector. Here's some of what the Working for Workers Six Act would do: ✍ A new regulation for washroom cleaning records that covers what records must be posted and where. ✍ explicitly requiring properly-fitting personal protective equipment (PPE) for women, and all workers with diverse body shapes. ✍ Returning $2 billion in surplus funds to safe Ontario businesses through the WSIB. For a small construction business with 50 employees, this could mean receiving $46,000. ✍ Removing some apprentice exam fees and creating alternative criteria for individuals who cannot meet the current academic standards to register as an apprentice. ✍ Honouring workers by creating a new Skilled Trades Week during the first week of November each year. To learn about all the changes, check out our full story: https://lnkd.in/d6iwTd75 Let us know what you think about these proposed changes in the comments!
