From December 3–10, 10% of all Mave & Chez sales will support St. Michael's Hospital’s Family Birthing Centre and NICU, helping our tiniest patients thrive 💙 maveandchez.com #ThankYouNurses #NICU #StMichaels #CommunityCare Michael Hyatt Dani S Kagan Victoria Marshman Unity Health Toronto
Today is Giving Tuesday—a day to reflect on the power of community, gratitude, and giving back. At Mave & Chez, we wanted to honor a group of individuals who inspire us daily with their selflessness and resilience: NICU nurses. These nurses & their support staff dedicate their lives to caring for the tiniest and most vulnerable among us. They work tirelessly, often spending hours on their feet, navigating emotional highs and lows, and giving everything they have to support families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. This year, we surprised 20 NICU nurses with a gift we hope brings them a little joy and comfort: a pair of Mave & Chez slippers. It’s a small gesture compared to the immense impact they have, but it comes straight from our hearts. 💖 During this campaign, we asked the nurses what keeps them going and the longest they’ve spent on their feet during a shift. Their answers were nothing short of inspiring. They reminded us of the incredible strength, compassion, and humanity that make up the heart of our healthcare system. To every nurse: thank you. Thank you for showing up, for caring, and for giving so much of yourselves to others. We see you, we appreciate you, and we hope to support you in the ways that we can. From December 3rd - 10th, 10% of all Mave & Chez sales this week will be donated to the NICU at St. Mike’s Hospital. Here’s to spreading gratitude, warmth, and kindness—not just today, but every day. Special thanks to Hyatt Family Foundation. #GivingTuesday #ThankYouNurses #MaveAndChez #NICU Victoria Marshman Dani S Kagan Michael Hyatt Richard Hyatt

Congrats Unity Health Toronto on this epic achievement! And thank you to our generous donors for helping our hospitals launch a new era in patient care!
Teams across Unity Health Toronto began their day using our new network-wide electronic patient record (EPR) system, powered by Epic. Members of Unity Health’s Executive Team visited staff, physicians and learners across our sites to see firsthand how things are going. The new EPR system will improve the care experience for patients, families and care teams across the network. We look forward to supporting each other as teams continue to learn and grow with the new system. Over 500 staff, physicians, learners and patient and family partners contributed to the development of Unity Health’s new electronic patient record (EPR) system, with thousands more involved in system testing, staff training and other preparations.

This Giving Tuesday, make THREE TIMES the difference! We’re urgently raising $100,000 to support our hospitals’ most pressing priorities, like life-saving equipment. If you donate by midnight on December 3, every dollar of your gift will be TRIPLED thanks to George Macri and Family! Government funding does not cover the cost of upgrading equipment, including ICU beds. That’s why we need your help! Please donate today to triple your gift and impact: https://lnkd.in/gR_64TE8 We have less than 24 hours left before our matching gift deadline to reach our goal, and we’re already 57% of the way there. Will you donate before midnight tonight to help us save lives? #GivingTuesday Unity Health Toronto

Diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, Audrey Gouskos spent six months in the intensive care unit at St. Michael's Hospital. She was just 41 years old. And she had a four-year-old son she needed to live for. “When I was in the ICU, there were times I thought I would die,” says Audrey. “All I wanted was to push my son on a swing again. And thanks to the incredible team at St. Michael’s, I did.” That was 20 years ago. Today, Audrey is the proud mom of a recent university graduate and grateful to be alive. This Giving Tuesday, you can help more patients like Audrey access life-saving care when they need it most by helping us raise $100,000 towards our hospitals’ highest priorities. If you give by midnight on December 3rd, your gift will be TRIPLED thanks to the generosity of George Macri and Family! Donate now: https://lnkd.in/gR_64TE8 #GivingTuesday Unity Health Toronto

More than 150 million people worldwide are experiencing homelessness right now. On National Housing Day, we’re proud to spotlight Citi Foundation, one of our powerful partners in St. Michael’s efforts to tackle the homelessness crisis with real-world, evidence-based solutions. “As the Canadian beneficiary of Citi Foundation’s 2024 Global Innovation Challenge, we’ll be able to create even more pathways towards better health and stable housing for people experiencing homelessness,” says Dr. Stephen Hwang, Director of St. Michael’s MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions. “Partnerships like these can save lives.” According to Citi Canada CEO, John Hastings, “This latest investment by the Citi Foundation in a Canadian organization reflects Citi’s commitment to Canada as part of our global network and highlights the pioneering work of St. Michael’s.” Thank you, Citi Foundation. Your $500,000 (USD) commitment will help St. Michael's Hospital disrupt the cycle of homelessness here—and across Canada. #InnovationChallenge #Homelessness #NationalHousingDay Unity Health Toronto

Every day nearly 30 Canadians are told they have a brain tumour. In 2022, Sonia Veri became one of them. After being denied surgical intervention by other hospitals, she turned to the world-renowned team at St. Michael’s Hospital. Her case was complex, but on June 8, 2022 – World Brain Tumour Day – our neurosurgeons resected her tumour. “St. Michael’s Hospital saved my life. When other hospitals turned me down, St. Michael’s was there. I’m so grateful to have an opportunity to pay it forward so other patients have a fighting chance.” Join me in thanking a healthcare champion today." All you have to do is visit ThankYouStMikes.ca or ThanksProvidence.ca to send a message of gratitude to a caregiver or make a special gift in their honour!
