As part of the 2025 mentor application for TAP Network, we were asked this question: “What do you hope to gain from this mentorship?” My first mentor was Stephanie Milliken, who was my boss at Electronic Arts (EA). I was fortunate to work with her for one year, and when she moved on, I knew I wanted to continue learning from her. I reached out, and she graciously agreed to be my mentor. That relationship has now spanned over 25 years and has profoundly shaped who I am today. In 2013, I began mentoring with Dress for Success Vancouver and have been an active mentor ever since with various organizations. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that mentoring is a two-way relationship. Both mentor and mentee bring unique perspectives, share stories, and grow together. I don’t see myself as simply a guide or advisor—I see these relationships as co-mentorship, where mutual learning and growth happen. From this mentorship with TAP Network, I hope to deepen my understanding of others’ perspectives, refine my skills as both a mentor and a learner, and continue growing as a person and leader. Mentoring has changed my life in ways far beyond a six-month program; it’s at the core of who I am and how I approach work and life. Thank you to all the mentees who have trusted me to be part of their journeys—you know who you are—and to all the mentors who have shaped my path. I cherish every moment we’ve created together. Here’s a quick video on mentoring by Simon Sinek, someone I consider a mentor from afar. 🥰 PS I’m excited to create our in-house Mentorship Program at MineSense Technologies Ltd. #mentorship #comentoring #lifelonglearning #leadership

Thank you to our panel of experts in today's information-packed webinar “How to Conduct a Pay Equity Analysis using Diversity Data“!
