  • #MondayMomentum Books serve as powerful conversation starters that let you scale meaningful connections with your ideal clients. On this Podcast, Mike shares how he's strategically used different types of books - from comprehensive guides to collaborative projects - to open doors with corporate clients and industry leaders. He explains his evolution from educational content to leveraging books for establishing thought leadership and deepening client relationships. We all agree relationships are the foundation of business success. They build trust, foster collaboration, and create opportunities for growth and innovation. In business, strong relationships can lead to partnerships, referrals, and long-term loyalty, transforming one-time interactions into ongoing, mutually beneficial connections. When an author opens doors to new relationships through writing, they not only share their insights but also invite others into meaningful conversations, sparking connections that can inspire and drive change. After all, business isn't just about transactions—it's about people, and relationships are what turn professional interactions into impactful outcomes. Well done once again, Mike Mack, MBA! We can't wait for book #5! 👏 👏 👏 Kris Schinke, MBA X5 Management #relationships #connections #booksforbusiness

At X5 Management, our 18-year journey has reinforced one powerful truth: businesses thrive when their people thrive. • #MondayMomentum Patrick Lencioni once said, "Not finance. Not strategy. Not technology. It is teamwork that remains the ultimate competitive advantage, both because it is so powerful and so rare." At X5 Management we love this quote because we see how true this is with our valued clients who promote teamwork and appreciate training programs such as The Five Behaviors®: A Wiley Brand. In a world that often prioritizes data and strategy, it’s easy to overlook the simple truth: a cohesive, committed team can achieve extraordinary things. True teamwork requires vulnerability, trust, and a willingness to navigate conflict in pursuit of collective success. It’s not just about working alongside one another—it’s about working for one another. Every day, we have the opportunity to foster environments where collaboration thrives. Let’s take that seriously. Because when we do, the results speak for themselves: innovation, resilience, and success that no individual effort could ever achieve. How do you cultivate teamwork in your organization? What a great time of year to ask yourself this for your organization, and consider the gaps. Mike Mack, MBA Kris Schinke, MBA #Teamwork #Leadership #PatrickLencioni #Collaboration

  • #MondayMomentum Is Your Team on the Right Path? Teamwork is more than collaboration; it’s about moving together toward a shared vision. But how often do we pause and ask ourselves: Are we truly heading in the right direction? A team can be full of talented individuals, but without alignment, even the best efforts can lead to frustration or wasted potential. Direction isn’t just about strategy; it’s about clarity, communication, and purpose. When everyone understands the "why" behind the work, it becomes easier to navigate challenges, prioritize effectively, and celebrate progress. Take a moment today to reflect with your team: Are we aligned on our goals? Are we clear on how we’ll get there? And most importantly, are we supporting one another on this journey? Great teamwork isn’t just about where you are today. It’s about ensuring you’re on the right path for tomorrow. Let’s keep moving forward—together. What a great time of year as we approach 2025 to reflect on this. And that is one of things we do at X5 Management; reflect on your "why" at the outset of our Strategic Planning Session. To learn more, ask us at info@X5management.com. Timing could not be better! Mike Mack, MBA Kris Schinke, MBA Gina Boucher #strategicplanning #teamdirection #discoverymeeting

As the holiday season approaches, and ends, many of us find ourselves reflecting on the past year and looking ahead to what the new one may bring. This is an ideal time to pause and set intentions for a purposeful start to the year. This practice offers an opportunity to align our actions with our values and focus on what truly matters. Unlike resolutions, which often come with pressure to achieve specific outcomes, intentions create a broader sense of purpose. They emphasize growth and adaptability rather than perfection. By setting intentions, we can approach the new year with clarity and a mindset that supports long-term success and fulfillment. The beginning of a new year provides a chance to realign our priorities. While resolutions can sometimes feel restrictive, intentions encourage a more mindful approach. They help us focus on what is meaningful without the pressure of rigid goals. Setting intentions enables us to: -Clarify priorities in both personal and professional spheres. -Align our actions with our core values. -Cultivate a mindset of possibility and adaptability. Intentions guide how we want to show up in the world, shaping our decisions and interactions throughout the year. Whether focused on personal growth, professional development, or relationships, intentions help us move forward with purpose. Read more on this week's blog article below. Weekend Wisdom: When One Door Opens, Another May Close! In business and in life there are a series of transitions, marked by doors that open to new opportunities and doors that close behind us. While the act of stepping forward through an open door can be exciting, it often comes with an element of uncertainty, as leaving something familiar behind can feel daunting. Yet, it’s in these very moments of transition that the most profound growth occurs. An open door represents possibility. It’s a call to explore, challenge ourselves, and embrace change. Whether it’s a new business opportunity, career shift, a leadership opportunity, a move to a new city, or even the start of a personal relationship, these open doors often present paths we never imagined. They encourage us to push beyond our comfort zones, uncovering strengths, talents, and resilience we didn’t know we had. By walking through, we not only step into new opportunities but also into a deeper understanding of our own potential. At the same time, a closing door can feel like loss. It may signify the end of a role we once loved, the completion of a relationship, or the need to let go of old habits and beliefs. However, closing doors are not failures; they’re necessary endings that create space for new beginnings. When we release what no longer serves us—whether it’s outdated expectations, limiting beliefs, or unfulfilling routines—we free ourselves to embrace a future of greater alignment and fulfillment. This process requires trust: trust in the journey, in the timing, and in ourselves. It’s not always easy, but each closed door holds a lesson, and every open door offers an invitation to grow. When we reflect on past transitions, we often see how those closed doors led to opportunities we might have otherwise missed. The challenge is to view these moments with curiosity and gratitude, recognizing that every change is a stepping stone toward a fuller, more authentic life. Stepping through a new door isn’t just about moving forward—it’s about moving with purpose. It’s a chance to realign with your values, refine your goals, and step closer to the vision you hold for yourself. The process may feel uncomfortable, but that discomfort is often a sign that growth is happening. Are you ready to embrace the next chapter? Perhaps that is the start of 2025?  Open doors invite us to be bold, to explore the unknown, and to trust that the best is yet to come. Let’s walk forward with confidence, using the lessons from closing doors as a foundation and the opportunities of open doors as our guide to what’s possible. Life’s greatest rewards often lie on the other side of a door we’re brave enough to walk through. Enjoy your weekend! #MomentumMonday! Creating a sense of value within a team requires leaders to build authentic connections, demonstrate consistent appreciation, and foster an environment where contributions are acknowledged and celebrated. When leaders take the time to genuinely understand their team members—their strengths, aspirations, and challenges—they communicate that each individual is more than just a resource but a valued partner in the organization's mission. This requires actively listening, engaging in meaningful conversations, and showing empathy in both successes and setbacks. Mutual trust, the foundation of cohesive teams, is enhanced when leaders get to know, and understand, their teams on a more personal level. The way leaders express appreciation should feel personal and sincere. Generic acknowledgments often fall flat; instead, specific recognition tied to an individual's efforts or impact resonates more deeply. It’s not just about celebrating major achievements but also acknowledging the small wins and the effort that goes into daily tasks. When leaders model gratitude, it becomes woven into the team's culture, inspiring mutual respect among team members. The ultimate result of making teams feel valued is multifaceted. Employees who feel seen and appreciated are more likely to be engaged, motivated, and committed to their work. Trust grows, collaboration strengthens, and morale rises, creating a positive ripple effect across the organization. This not only boosts productivity but also enhances retention, fostering a workplace where both individuals and the team as a whole can thrive. In busy workplaces, this is always easier said than done. Leaders ideally learn to reflect on their day, and how much time or effort may have been applied to showing appreciation, and offering thanks. Leadership training can help, and leadership coaching provides an accountability partner that can contribute to skill development. Leadership accountability, reflection on efforts, and celebrating the wins in a confidential environment is what coaching is all about!
