Meet Cathy Le! She is a fourth-year Global Arts and Business student who's had some amazing co-ops! Cathy explains how she landed her co-ops and her approach to dealing with rejection. “I landed an international co-op, but that didn’t come out of nowhere. It takes a lot of work and dedication to get to where you want to be. I had to apply to hundreds of employers and I received many rejection letters. Every week for months, I’d get rejection notifications and it sucked, but you must keep your head high.” “Try to get better every day and don’t let the rejections dictate what you want to do. Remember that no matter what, your work has value.” Read more about Cathy's co-op journey: https://bit.ly/4cprUh3 University of Waterloo Faculty of Arts #MyCoopExperience #Arts #UWaterlooCoop #UWaterloo

At Co-operative and Experiential Education (CEE), we value work-integrated learning and experiential education as much as co-op. Meet Jason Amri! He is a Computer Science and Business alumni who landed a co-op in Dubai and started his own social venture, 3cycle! He explains how he managed so many responsibilities and how he used Waterloo networking events to land some of his co-ops. “It's good to meet and get to know people at networking events. I found those relationships often don't necessarily pan out or bear fruit in your first interaction, or even in your first year knowing someone.” “If you can follow up with them and build a relationship, those people end up coming in handy a lot when you're looking at future co-op terms down the line. That's how you can end up securing some cool external opportunities in your later co-op terms.” Read more about Jason's co-op journey: https://bit.ly/4cqQsXc University of Waterloo Faculty of Mathematics #MyCoopExperience #Mathematics #UWaterlooCoop #UWaterloo
