The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen: Reborn from Adversity

In such a difficult environment, there are very few owners who have the courage to renovate their hotels. The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen is one of the first to do so. Opened in 2009, it has been 15 years since it opened, and it has inevitably left many traces of time. A new look is what it needs most. The design team for this renovation is CCD, and the first batch of renovated rooms are all located on the 18th floor. When the elevator doors open, the noble platinum color scheme replaces the original red-brown color scheme. The new Chinese style with Morandi color celadon green and gray-brown with different shades is refreshing. The moving details are also in the carefully selected mother-of-pearl utensils, and the background board with mountain and sea imagery adds a coastal regional feature to the hotel. The color of the paintings echoes the minibar, which is elegant and generous. The bathtub and bathroom cabinet are still old friends, but there is no sign of aging, which may be the charm of "bone beauty". The service level is still online, even though it was once criticized for being too old-fashioned, but the service of The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen has hardly ever been criticized. From the concierge to the front desk to the guest room, all the service staff are always smiling and attentive to the guests. My personal favorite is still the outdoor pool with an unbeatable view. Facing the Futian CBD, you can easily take in the entire central business district, and the sunlight fills me with energy.
