As a new silver sponsor for this season, we are delighted to welcome Speedgoat ! The Speedgoat unit will play a critical role, acting as the “brain” of our car and connecting nearly every electrical system onboard. From one side, it will enable us to gather essential data from sensors—like IMU, temperature, and pressure—allowing us to monitor performance, troubleshoot in real-time, and develop targeted improvements. On the other, it will handle functions such as traction control and regenerative braking. We want to thanks Speedgoat for their support and look forward to working with them.

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of visiting one of our valued sponsors: EnDes Gruppe | Engineering - Design 🏢 On this occasion, the EnDes team organized an insightful workshop on engineering project management. As experts in engineering design, they introduced us to interesting tools and methods that we are excited to integrate into our development processes at the Bern Racing Team. 🚀 This collaboration will help us refine the justification of our technical decisions, particularly during the Engineering Design events at Formula Student competitions. 🎓🏎️ A big thank you to EnDes for their support and for giving us the opportunity to benefit from their expertise! 🙏

FS ATA 2024 - Recap of the event 🇮🇹 After three intensive events, the Bern Racing Team finally made it to Italy at the beautiful circuit of Varano de' Melegari 🏎️ The Statics were very successful again, we were able to achieve good results in the Engineering Design and the Business Plan. Thanks to this we have been able to score our best points since the team was created 🥳 The beginning of Dynamics has also started well, with a Skidpad that gives us a good ranking. We were able to show Sajetta’s potential during the Acceleration by setting our best time of the season with 3.722 seconds to go 75m! 🚀 During the autocross we unfortunately had a problem during our two best runs, as the power was higher than the regulation limitation they were not counted 😓 But happily, we were still able to make two more and still score points ! And finally we were able to finish our second endurance of the season. During this endurance we even needed to make a pit stop to change the type of tyre 🛞 during the exchange of drivers! This rarely happens during the Formula Students but the strategy paid off as our second driver had to finish his race in a heavy rain 🌧️ It also allowed the team to demonstrate its effectiveness even in the urgency of the situation 😮💨 This event thus allowed the season to end in a positive atmosphere and allows the launch of the 2025 season with great motivation 💪 Results : Overall : P11/36 Acc : P9 Skidpad : P13 Autocross : P18 Endurance : P10 Cost : P23 BP : P5 Design : P13

Let’s look back on our previous event, Formula Student Germany 🇩🇪. Our dream finally came true! 🌟 We have wanted to attend the best event in the world for a very long time, and we finally managed to qualify for it this year! 🎉 Our event started extremely well with scrutineering going very smoothly. ✅ We passed every technical inspection on the first try, which allowed us to do some testing before the dynamics. Statics also went surprisingly well, with us making it to the Business Plan finals 🏆 in this prestigious event! The start of dynamics went well, with both skidpad and acceleration scoring good points. 💪 Unfortunately, right after the post-scrutineering of acceleration, our carbon suspension broke due to the bumpy track of FSG. 😓 Luckily, we didn’t break anything else apart from the suspension. With Autocross starting in less than a day, we had to find solutions quickly. 🛠️ The team worked tirelessly to completely rebuild a whole suspension in Germany, and in less than 24 hours and after a drive back to our workshop, we managed to get the car back on track just in time for Autocross. 🏎 Unfortunately, some issues with traffic and our electronic system prevented Sajetta from showing its true potential during this discipline. ⚡ We finally completed our first endurance of the season here in Germany, and it felt all the more special for the team after all the hard work. 👏 This event was a true showcase of dedication and adaptability in challenging circumstances. 💼💡 We would like to thank all the teams that helped us rebuild our suspension, especially High Speed Karlsruhe! 🙌 Results: Overall : 20/79 Business plan : 4/79 Engineering design: 34/79 Cost and manufacturing: 46/79 Skidpad: 17/79 Acceleration: 23/79 Autocross: 39/79 Endurance: 14/79 Photos: 1. FS East 2024 - Recap of the event 🇭🇺 Our second event of the season was Formula Student East, in Hungary. We knew it was going to be a tough one coming to the event. We unfortunately suffered technical issues prior to the event, forcing us to switch to a 3-wheel drive power mode. ⚙ We passed all the technical inspections first try and were the first EV team allowed to drive in FS East! 🥳 The static events went well, having our best performance to date in the cost event. 📊 During the dynamics, Sajetta showed great performance, scoring a team record in the skidpad and great times in acceleration and autocross, despite the 3 wheel drive. 🏎💨 Unfortunately, a gearbox leak was noticed during the driver change of endurance, forcing us to retire the car. ❌ Overall it was a great event for us, demonstrating our will and ability to adapt in any situations. 💪🏼 Results: Overall: 15/32 Skidpad: 8/32 Acceleration: 16/32 Autocross: 12/32 Endurance: DNF Design Event: 13/32 Cost Event: 17/32 Business Plan: 18/32

Last week we went to our first Formula Student Event of the season: our home event Formula Student Switzerland. 🇨🇭 It was an overall success with us finishing P5/15, even taking home some podiums with 2nd place in Skidpad and 3rd place in Acceleration. Sajetta is extremely promising and fast but unfortunately we could not finish the autoX or endurance race due to technical issues. ⚙🔋 We are still extremely proud of the results and are now focusing on our next event Formula Student East. 🏆 Stay tuned for the upcoming events! Last friday, thyssenkrupp Presta AG invited us to their Racing Day event. We had the opportunity to drive Sajetta against 7 Formula Student teams on Skidpad and Autocross. We also could train our static events! 🥳 We gathered important data and could validate many of this year's concepts!
