🎥 "And this is just the beginning..." Last night at the Arkema booth at JEC World in Paris, the premiere of this extraordinary video highlighted the power of collaboration to drive marine sustainability forward. 🤝🌊 We're proud to be part of this groundbreaking group — alongside Arkema, Groupe Beneteau, Veolia, Owens Corning, and CHOMARAT Group — creating the first circular model of boatbuilding in which products are designed from the start to be recyclable — including even the production scrap. A huge thank you to the speakers who came together to bring the vision to life in the video: Chris Skinner from Owens Corning, VINCENT CHOLVY from CHOMARAT Group, Nicolas Chéné from Veolia, Erwan Faoucher of Groupe Beneteau, Pascal Gallo and Guillaume Perben from Composite Recycling - as well as Guillaume CLEDAT from Arkema who first proposed this video, and Maxence Peyras of EyeSea Production for making it a reality! This partnership is paving the way toward a sustainable future of manufacturing with composites — closing the loop on composite waste and setting a new standard for the industry. We're starting first with the marine industry - in line with our roots - and look forward to sharing future collaborations in automotive, wind energy, aerospace, and beyond! #CircularComposites #SustainableBoating #MarineInnovation #ClosingTheLoop #CompositesRecycling #SustainableManufacturing #PartnershipForChange JEC Group

Making Fibreglass Recycling a Reality
Info
Composite Recycling has pioneered a novel approach for recycling glass fibre-reinforced plastics (GFRP) into reclaimed glass fibres and pyrolysis oil, in an energy-efficient and economically viable way, such that they can be reused in the manufacturing of high-quality new composites. Fibreglass waste from boats hulls, wind turbine blades, airplane and auto interiors, etc, represents a mounting problem for the industry and for the environment. Our mission is to divert such waste away from landfill and incineration by transforming them into high-value secondary raw materials that can enter the circular economy. Our business is two-fold: (1) we service clients who need a better solution for disposing of their fibreglass waste, and (2) we supply the outputs to manufacturers who want to incorporate recycled content into their production.

🌊 PRESS RELEASE: Setting Sail Towards Composite Circularity 🌍 🗞️ We're proud to share news of our groundbreaking collaboration hitting newsstands today. In partnership with leaders across the industry, we are revolutionizing boat manufacturing with a circular economy model — proving that boats can now be built using recyclable and recycled materials. Together with Groupe Beneteau, Veolia, Arkema, Owens Corning, and CHOMARAT Group, we're closing the loop on composites — from production to recycling and reintegration — making sustainable manufacturing a reality. How it works: ✅ Groupe Beneteau manufactures boats using Arkema’s recyclable Elium® resin. ✅ Veolia collects the production scraps and delivers them to us for recycling. ✅ Composite Recycling uses our next-generation thermolysis technology to recover glass fibers and thermolysis oil. ✅ Arkema uses the oil to produce new Elium® resin. ✅ Owens Corning manufactures long fibers from the reclaimed fibers ✅ CHOMARAT Group weaves these long fibers into new glass fiber textile Groupe Beneteau then uses the new Elium® resin and fiberglass textile to make new boats - closing the loop! The result? A circular manufacturing model that reduces CO2 emissions by 70% compared to manufacturing with virgin materials— and sets a powerful example for the entire composites industry. And this is just the beginning. Together, we're showing the world that a circular future is not only possible — it's already underway. #CircularEconomy #SustainableBoating #CompositeRecycling #InnovationForImpact #ZeroLandfill

🌟 Three years ago, Composite Recycling was honored to be among the winners of the W.A. De Vigier Stiftung Award, one of Switzerland's most prestigious prizes for startups. The competition was fierce, and we thought winning the big prize would be a long shot. But win we did, and the prize funds — and the credibility boost! — enabled our startup to take the next big steps in our growth trajectory, including signing the lease on our first facility and getting going on recyclability testing with our first prototype machines. Last week, our CEO Guillaume Perben was invited back to Selection Day to share our journey on stage — a special moment made even better by seeing the next generation of game-changing startups pitch their ideas. Bravo Hanna Byland and Céline Bedu! As every year, the flawless execution, refined atmosphere, and firm commitment to supporting innovation made the day unforgettable. Thank you deVigier for believing in us and for your ongoing and unwavering support. You've made an important contribution to getting us where we are today - preparing to announce major new partnerships next week at at JEC World 2025. Best of luck to this year's Top 50! #InnovationWithImpact #CircularComposites #deVigierAlumni #GreenTech #ZeroLandfill

⛷ Calling all ski fans! ⛷ Ever imagined carving through fresh powder on skis that are not only high-performance but also sustainable—made from materials that are both recycled and recyclable? That future may not be so distant! We are working on making sustainable skiing a reality - and reporting in on our latest progress from our tests on production scrap from ski manufacturing. 📸 Check out the post-recycling images below and some key takeaways from the Client Technical Report: ✅ Recovered fibers: No visible impurities, soft texture (like you see in the photo) 🔬 SEM analysis: Small traces of residue detected, but nothing that prevents successful recycling. 🛢 Recovered oil: Over 70% of detected chemical compounds are valuable for reuse by the chemical industry. These results show the clear potential to make new composites from ski production scrap. Our mission is to enable a future when old skis don’t end up in landfills, but instead are recycled into new composite materials...even skis! ♻ Do you want to see what our technical report would reveal about your products? Reach out or drop us a note in the comments to organize your #recyclability test! 👇 #SustainableSkiing #CircularEconomy #CompositeRecycling #SkiSeason

🔎🔎 Are you looking to integrate recycled content into your new products? At Composite Recycling, we specialize in recovering high-quality oil and intact glass or carbon fibers from composite waste- like this fiberglass production scrap, which comes from the hull of a sailboat made by Groupe Beneteau, using Arkema's extraordinary Elium® recyclable resin. The reclaimed materials can be reused in producing new glass fiber and new resin. Even better, producing fiberglass from reclaimed materials generates 70-80% less CO2 than virgin fiberglass production. If you're looking for solutions that benefit both your business and the planet, get in touch with us to schedule a consultation. 📩 contact@composite-recycling.ch #RecycledContent #GreenTech #Composites #Sustainability #Circularity Groupe Beneteau

📷 A Look Behind the Scenes Since our machine delivery in December, at Composite Recycling we've had a lot of questions about our new industrial-scale recycling unit. Co-founders Guillaume Perben and Pascal Gallo (pictured here) were recently on-site for a special photo and video shoot 🎥 and meeting with key partners. So we're sharing here some snaps from that day, giving a closer look at the machine that Pascal and his team are gearing up now. This machine will ultimately process 2 tons of composite scrap per day at our Veolia site in Western France. That's 2 tons of waste per day that will not go into landfill, but will instead be integrated into the production of new #composites. ♻️ Stay tuned for more!🚀 And many thanks to Maxence Peyras and EyeSea Production for the great shots! #recycling #innovation #ZeroLandfill #circulareconomy #cleanetech
