Frontiers in Earth Science is hosting a webinar that dives into the geological history of Southeast Asia. 'Early Cretaceous volcanic-arc magmatism in the Dalat-Kratie Fold Belt of eastern Cambodia: implications for the lithotectonic evolution of the Indochina terrane' webinar, is led by Dr Greg Shellnutt. The Mesozoic granitic plutons, ranging from 240 to 80 Ma, reveal multiple tectonomagmatic phases tied to the subduction of the Paleotethys & Paleo-Pacific ocean. Tackling emissions reductions effectively requires adopting a whole #EarthSystem approach. This means not just focusing on climate, but nature and other underpinning natural processes too. "If we’re going to avoid failure on climate, then safeguarding the global commons must be a focus", says Jane Madgwick, executive director of Global Commons Alliance.
