Such a joy to bring together global #digitalhealth leaders as part of the Oxford Open Digital Health #OODH journal editorial board, to encourage the community of practitioners to disseminate their learnings. As a community, we are questioning the status quo of academic #publishing practices and it is encouraging to see such an enthusiastic response! As the Geneva Digital Health Hub (gdhub) nicely summed it up: #OODH is a mission-driven journal offering: 🟪 Free publishing for authors from most lower- and low-income countries. 🟪 Open access for all, everywhere. 🟪 A commitment to amplifying voices from countries where the work is done. Thanks to Lauren Wall and TechChange who encouraged this informal ‘meet the editors’ session, and to our editorial board who enthusiastically supported this gathering after hours at the Global Digital Health Network forum in Nairobi- Marelize Gorgens Prestidge Carol Kamasaka Caroline Perrin Patty Mechael Baaba da-Costa Vroom olasupo oyedepo Alain Labrique Anis Fuad Amarynth Sichel. 🔴 Day 3 at #GDHF2024: An inspiring closing ceremony! This year’s edition was truly special—bringing the conference to Africa for the first time, with record registrations and 50% of participants from Africa. A milestone moment for digital health! Thank you Pr Alain Labrique for your clear closing remarks, your call to action was well received: "To implementers, share the work you're doing, but use standards when building new things. To academics: help us to measure, to understand what works and what doesn't, and to make sure that investments have an impact". 📢That's why the new Digital Health Atlas (DHA) was launched this week at #GDHF2024. In collaboration with the Geneva Digital Health Hub (gdhub), the World Health Organization and the Fondation Pierre Fabre as consortium of partners, the "DHA empowers everyone in the room to document your projects—what you are doing, where and how, to improve knowledge sharing". This is now our Call to action: 👉 Visit the new Digital Health Atlas. https://lnkd.in/dTzig5_j 👉 Document your work—it’s quick, easy, and makes all the difference to our collective knowledge, beyond these incredible events and connections. NB: Congratulations to the Marc Mitchell Award winners by D-tree, Joie Sophia UMUHOZA with ECO-MAMA, the first to add their project to the new DHA - you are inspiring! A big thank you to Kenya for the warm welcome and hospitality. We even had the opportunity for a quick team building moment in Nairobi National Park - what a wonderful way to end! We look forward to seeing you all again soon. 💡 #DigitalHealth #GlobalHealth #KnowledgeSharing #Standards #Collaboration #GDHF2024 #Implementome #DHA

🔴 Day 2 at GDHF2024: A huge thank you to Pr. Smisha Agarwal, Editor-in-Chief, and the editorial team members of the Oxford Open Digital Health (#OODH) journal for the warm and informal session where we could ask all our questions directly. It’s inspiring to see an editorial team that is truly representative—bringing diverse regions and skills together. 👏 It was a great reminder that publishing implementation work is not as complicated, expensive, or out of reach as it might seem. It can all start with an abstract or by reaching out to an editor. #OODH is a mission-driven journal offering: 🟪 Free publishing for authors from most lower- and low-income countries. 🟪 Open access for all, everywhere. 🟪 A commitment to amplifying voices from countries where the work is done. Take away message : "We cannot afford to keep repeating the same mistakes. When you share ideas and publish, you create opportunities for others to build on your work. This is OPEN-source knowledge at its best." 🤝 Special thanks to JSI, Speak Up Africa, and health.enabled for the Cocktail Women in Digital Health&AI—spotlighting the importance of gender balance in digital health. NB: And of course, the side-talks and networking—what an amazing opportunity to exchange ideas, collaborate, and plan. These conversations truly make all the difference! Wishing everyone a fantastic third and final day at #GDHF2024! #DigitalHealth #KnowledgeSharing #GlobalHealth #OpenAccess #GenderBalance #Implementome #DHA

🌍 Day 1 at #GDHF2024: a promising start for the new Digital Health Atlas! Proud to see the Geneva Digital Health Hub (gdhub) alongside the World Health Organization, the Fondation Pierre Fabre , and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation as part of the consortium driving Implementome—a set of tools that address the need for knowledge exchange and collaboration. One of these tools, the Digital Health Atlas (DHA), originally developed by WHO, has been newly refreshed in collaboration with the Geneva Digital Health Hub (gdhub). Under the Global Initiative for Digital Health (#GIDH), the DHA is entering a new era to address key challenges: pilotitis, fragmentation, siloed efforts, and limited access to digital health knowledge. 💡 As we know, if you can't measure, you can't manage - and the DHA is the foundation for measuring impact and learning from digital health implementation. The enhanced DHA is designed to empower stakeholders with: ✅ Stakeholder-first approach: Putting project stakeholders at the center, ensuring they gain real value. ✅ Advanced features: Analytics, AI assistant, and enhanced visibility. ✅ Collaboration focus: Enabling shared learning to amplify collective impact. Together, let’s move from fragmented efforts to a coordinated global digital health ecosystem. 🌐 Visit the new Implementome - DHA and register your digital health project. https://lnkd.in/dFq--yfP NB: And we’re ready for Day 2! Whether you’re a donor or an implementer, we look forward to connecting today and hearing your perspectives on the new Implementome - DHA. #DigitalHealth #GDHF2024 #Collaboration #Innovation #DigitalHealthAtlas #Africa #ODESS #FondationPierreFabre #GTCoP
