Another Catalyst Superyacht tender was recently launched by Lloyd Stevenson Boat Builders in New Zealand. These high-performance catamarans are constructed with Gurit Corecell foam and are not only superb luxury yacht tenders, they are also powerful and practical as ‘work boats’ as seen with the America’s Cup Catalyst fleet. We were delighted to host the REPOXYBLE project 24 month project review at our Newport (UK) site last week, showcasing our R&D and manufacturing capabilities to consortium partners. 🧑🤝🧑 This is a 3 year EU Horizon-funded project with the aim of creating fully chemically recyclable bio-based epoxy composites, and Gurit is responsible for developing the bio-based resin chemistry and for scaling the unique recyclable hardeners. ♻️ We're excited about the progress being made and that we're doing it alongside companies who are just as passionate as us about developing sustainable end-of-life options for our customers. #Sustainability #CompositeMaterials

The new Smuggler 1100 Amphibious ‘Waka Kai’ was recently launched in Whitianga, New Zealand and will be utilized for delivering groceries to properties and beaches in the Coromandel over the summer months. This is Smuggler’s longest amphibious boat to date, with structural engineering upgrades and stress testing by the Gurit engineering team for its use as a commercial amphibious vessel, and built with a range of Gurit composite materials – Kerdyn PET, Corecell M foam and reinforcements. #GuritEngineering #marine #composites
