Supporting the Swiss Photonics Industry in photonic integration challenges
Info
The second newly founded AM-TTC, the Swiss Photonics Integration Center (Swiss PIC), is located in the Swiss Innovation Park InnovAare. The focus of this center is on optical components and systems that transport and process light particles, so-called photons. The Swiss PIC will build facilities that will make it possible to integrate even the smallest optical components into larger systems or devices and test them. In Switzerland, there are many companies and research groups that develop and manufacture new innovative photonic components. Often they do not have access to such facilities. The Swiss PIC aims to close this gap by making such facilities accessible and helping companies to build their own integration and packaging solutions in their production.

We are very happy to share this acknowledgement from one of the first customers of Swiss PIC. We look forward to helping many more photonic startups and scaleups like we have helped #Polariton.
At Polariton Technologies, we’re accelerating the development of #plasmonic modulators through our collaboration with Swiss Photonics Integration Center (Swiss PIC). By scaling up the assembly of testing devices, we’ve greatly enhanced our capacity and optimized product qualification. Our plasmonic Mach-Zehnder modulators for testing purposes are now packaged with electrical contacts and optical fibers, ready for operational and storage tests. With custom-designed metal holders, we can even perform measurements at elevated temperatures. This seamless collaboration with Swiss PIC is helping us achieve faster time-to-market, increased production efficiency, and fully connectorized #PICs for ease of use, driving progress in the field. Huge thanks to the engineers at Swiss PIC and Polariton Youri Popoff, Meggi Głowacki, Annina Moser #Polariton #MZmodulators #EOModulators #TestingDevices

Swiss Photonics Integration Center (Swiss PIC) hat dies direkt geteilt
Since 2022 Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare has been a member of EPIC - EUROPEAN PHOTONICS INDUSTRY CONSORTIUM (the largest #photonics industry association in the world with more than 800 members) and we are proud to actively support our residents at Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare on their path to success, creating a unique innovation ecosystem for #deeptech companies of all sizes. Our residents benefit from the excellent clean room infrastructure and the use of photonic systems in various applications at the large-scale research facilities at PSI Paul Scherrer Institut. In addition, the Swiss Photonics Integration Center (Swiss PIC) technology transfer centre at Park Innovaare will support the photonics community in Switzerland and beyond with integration services for micro-optical systems to help companies to quickly mature from lab demonstrators to products.

Would you like a PIC packaged at no cost to you? - Then see this! If you are in Switzerland or have close ties to Switzerland and work with quantum applications you can now apply for a Quantum Voucher of up to 50 kCHF to pay for services with Swiss PIC or another institute. You have two years to spend the money and application is simple i.e. approx. 2 pages, deadline August 30th. #SwissPIC https://lnkd.in/etxSV_ZQ
