This week, Global Head of Bunkering, Kenneth Dam, visited our Mumbai office, where he connected with colleagues from both TFG Marine and Trafigura to discuss our strategy and vision for 2025 and beyond. In his town hall presentation, Kenneth summarised TFG Marine’s recent performance and discussed both the challenges and opportunities within the bunkering industry. He also highlighted our commitment to innovation and transparency. Kenneth’s visit reinforced the vital role of the Trafigura Mumbai office as a strategic hub for TFG Marine, supporting our global operations and playing a crucial role in our commercial ambitions across Asia. Thank you to our Mumbai team for their continued dedication in driving TFG Marine’s success. #MarineFuelsModernised #TFGMarine #TrafiguraMumbai

At TFG Marine, our strength lies in our commitment to our word, especially when it comes to delivering on innovation and progress. We’re proud to share our plans to roll out mass flow meters (MFMs) across close to 90 percent of our bunkering supply fleet by 2026. This ambitious move not only raises the bar for our industry but also brings the essential transparency and data measurement capabilities needed to modernise marine fuel supply. The bunkering industry has long operated using inaccurate quantity measurements prone to error, leading to inefficiencies and trust gaps. By equipping the majority of our supply fleet with MFMs, we’re pioneering a future where real-time data, accurate measurement, and trust are the norm, not the exception. This initiative aligns with our vision to lead in transparency and create accountability within the marine fuel supply chain. However, the success of this transformation depends on collaboration. While our vessels will be equipped and ready, we call on port authorities worldwide to implement the regulatory frameworks necessary, using ISO 22192 to make MFMs a mandatory standard in their respective jurisdictions. Together, we can build a more transparent, efficient, and future-ready industry—one that aligns with modern demands and expectations of our customers. “Collaboration” to achieve greater efficiencies, drive innovation, reduce environmental impacts and improve safety of operations was the main theme at this week’s IBIA Annual Convention in Athens. Calls championed by both IBIA Chairman Constantinos Capetanakis and Executive Chairman Alexander Prokopakis. Speaking on the Bunker Sellers panel at the event, our Global Head of Bunkering, Kenneth Dam, also echoed the importance of collaboration and expressed optimism about the positive momentum IBIA’s newly launched European Regional Board will bring to the bunkering industry. “With the establishment of IBIA’s European Regional Board and the exceptional calibre, quality, and diversity of its members, we are confident that the IBIA will continue advancing the agenda for European port authorities to prioritise their focus on transparency, health and safety, digitalisation, and the mandatory adoption of mass flow meters across all ports,” he said. #TFGMarine #MassFlowMeters #MarineFuelsModernised #Bunkering #Transparency #MarineFuelSupply #Digitalisation #Transparency #IBIA #IBIABoard #SustainableShipping #IBIAConvention

We’re pleased to announce TFG Marine’s first digitalised marine fuel delivery in Singapore using electronic bunker delivery notes (eBDNs). In early November, at the Port of Singapore, our team supplied VLSFO bunker fuel to Pacific Basin Shipping Limited’s Illovo River bulk carrier, marking the first of four bunkering deliveries already this month where this new technology has been successfully deployed. After months of collaboration with SGTraDex and ZeroNorth, this milestone represents a significant leap in transforming the bunker delivery process—streamlining administrative tasks, enhancing digital documentation and data collection, and contributing to a more efficient and connected bunkering industry. We’re especially proud to be pioneering this advanced, end-to-end technology ahead of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)’s mandatory standards set for April 2025, with plans to expand our rollout to other global locations in the coming months. This initiative not only solidifies TFG Marine’s role as a leader in setting new industry standards but also reinforces Singapore’s position as a premier global bunkering hub. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen! #MarineFuelsModernised #TFGMarine #PortofSingapore #Digitalisation #Bunkering #MarineFuelTransparency #eBDN #DigitalTransformation #MarineFuelSupplies #Trafigura #ConnectingVitalResources

“To successfully transition to alternative fuels in sectors like marine shipping, industry collaboration and partnerships are essential. For alternative fuel producers, partnering with established market participants like our marine fuel supply joint-venture, TFG Marine, which has a global distribution network, creates a comprehensive, efficient solution that spans the entire fuel supply chain while also addressing future challenges around fuel availability and pricing.” Margaux Moore, Trafigura's Head of the Energy Transition Group and Venture Investments, SIBCON 2024
Wrapping up this week’s SIBCON 2024 conference in Singapore Margaux Moore, our Head of the Energy Transition Group and Venture Investments, participated in a panel discussion alongside representatives from Equatorial Marine Fuel and Hafnia focussing on the implications of a multi-fuel marketplace for the marine industry. “To successfully transition to alternative fuels in sectors like marine shipping, industry collaboration and partnerships are essential,” said Margaux. “For alternative fuel producers, partnering with established market participants like our marine fuel supply joint-venture, TFG Marine, which has a global distribution network, creates a comprehensive, efficient solution that spans the entire fuel supply chain while also addressing future challenges around fuel availability and pricing.” Margaux also emphasised the importance of carbon pricing mechanisms, highlighting the role of carbon intensity standards and certification in establishing a liquid and competitive market for low-carbon fuels. "If we lack clear standards and transparency, we won't be able to efficiently or cost-effectively supply low-carbon fuels to the market. Without certification, the emission reductions the industry urgently requires will be unattainable.” #SIBCON2024 #IndustryCollaboration #MarineFuelsModernised #ConnectingVitalResource #CarbonPricing #ShippingDecarbonisation #Trafigura #AlternativeMarineFuels #MarineFuels #TFGMarine

During today’s International Trade and Fuel Market Trends panel discussion at SIBCON, Kenneth Dam, our Global Head of Bunkering, announced that TFG Marine will introduce ZeroNorth’s electronic bunker delivery notes (eBDNs) solution for our customers in Singapore by the end of the year. Kenneth stated, “We are excited to work with providers such as ZeroNorth to roll out eBDNs to our customers, not only in Singapore but across our global operations. This technology will help digitalise the bunker delivery process, reduce administrative burdens, enhance digital documentation, and contribute to a smarter, more connected bunkering sector. We are committed to advocating for the adoption of eBDNs as a global standard for bunker fuel delivery.” The fully digital solution, accessible through TFG Marine’s mobile app and integrated with SGTraDex digital infrastructure, will enable the inclusion of additional data, such as mass flow meter readings during fuel deliveries. This will drive substantial improvements in efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and sustainability across operations, complementing our global mass flow meter global rollout across our fleet and ensuring TFG Marine remains at the forefront of the bunkering industry. #SIBCON2024 #MarineFuelsModernised #Digitalisation #eBDN #DigitalTransformation #Bunkering #MarineFuelSupplies
