🌟 Unique Event for Ukrainians in Switzerland: Building Career Success with LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® 🌟 Today, I had the pleasure of attending the inspiring workshop "LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®: From Forced Relocation to Career Success." This incredible experience combined creativity, practical skills, and career guidance to empower Ukrainians navigating new professional landscapes in Switzerland. Thanks to Olena Iarmosh it was fun and interactive. 🧩 What did we build today? Personal identity: discovering our unique strengths, skills, and experiences. Customized career roadmaps: setting clear paths for professional growth. Problem-solving skills: turning challenges into opportunities. Teamwork and communication skills: fostering collaboration and connection. Understanding local job market challenges: exploring opportunities and strategies for success. Using the innovative LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology, we transformed abstract concepts into tangible creations, making the learning process both engaging and impactful. A heartfelt thanks to Université de Lausanne, HEC Lausanne - The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne, the Ukraine Centre and Together for hosting such an empowering event. 🎶👨🎤 Thrilled to share with you that Ukraine Centre is taking internationally-renowned Ukrainian a cappella sextet ManSound to Suisse Romande for a series of 7 fundraising concerts from 6 to 8 December. They will perform the music that has brought them wide acclaim at concerts and festivals in the United States and across Europe. 🇺🇦🎄Their repertoire consists of a unique blend of well-loved Christmas songs and rare Slavic folk songs, gospel, and the jazz standards which they perform with original arrangements. George Benson, George Gershwin and Stevie Wonder are just a few of the familiar composer/songwriters featured in their work. 🎼🎤 ManSound has taken part in more than 50 jazz festivals, performed three times at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in the United States, and in over 25 countries. The All American Entertainment Awards nominated ManSound as best vocal group in 2001. In 2002 ManSound won the First Prize at the international competition for a cappella groups Vokal Total. In 2004 the Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA) awarded them Best Vocal Performance in the world in the jazz category. 🇨🇭🌃 ManSound will perform at 7 venues in Geneva, Coppet, Lausanne, Vevey and Montreux. 🎫 📱Tickets are sold by TicketCorner (https://lnkd.in/eKjf-cN3) and through our website (www.ukrainecentre.org). 📢 Strengthening cybersecurity together: The key topic of the regular meeting of the Ukrainian-Swiss Business Association members at the Embassy of Ukraine in Bern. Last week, our Association, at the invitation of Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova, held a regular meeting of members and partners. 🔐 Key topics discussed: Our event focused on the current challenges faced by companies in today's digital landscape. Participants exchanged views on implementing effective information security strategies and explored opportunities for international cooperation to strengthen cybersecurity resilience. ✨ Special guest in the spotlight: We were honoured to welcome Nick Mayencourt, founder and CEO of DreamLab, a renowned Swiss cybersecurity firm, as our special guest. His presentation highlighted the critical importance of the private and public sectors joining forces to create robust defences in the face of growing cyber threats. 🙏 Gratitude and a look to the future: We would like to thank the Embassy of Ukraine for its hospitality and all participants for their active participation and valuable contributions. It was a great evening of quality networking among successful and talented people. 🔴 Ukrainian Refugees in Europe 🔺 6.6 million Ukrainian refugees were recorded globally. 🤝Since the full-scale invasion began, the EU has stepped up to support millions of Ukrainians, granting Temporary Protection through 2026, creating fast-track programs for jobs, and offering language training to help with settling in. 🏚️Yet, returning home is no simple choice. Refugees face a complex reality: a shattered housing market, scarce job opportunities, and lingering security concerns. Plus, gaps in communication with those still abroad and societal divides make the idea of return even more challenging.
