These sensors will power real-time motion and muscle analysis and biofeedback, core components of our musculoskeletal health solutions. 🔬 The R&D efforts are spearheaded by Odysseas Economides, Director of HardwareX, ensuring that the sensors meet our precise needs. Thank you so much to The Montesori School and The Junior & Senior School for warmly welcoming us during their Science Week events! Researchers from CYENS Centre of Excellence delivered three inspiring mentoring sessions as part of the Purple STEAM Erasmus+ Project, run by ViModo, which promotes women in STEAM fields. Women in STEAM shared their personal journeys, highlighting both the challenges they faced and their triumphs. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the speakers, creating a dynamic and insightful exchange. We ended the sessions with a fun and educational card game designed by the project team, celebrating the achievements of remarkable women in STEAM! 🌍 Nicosia Joins the Global MCR2030 Initiative with First Training Course on December 4, 2024! 🌟 Nicosia proudly stands as the 1677th city and the first in Cyprus to join the Making Cities Resilient 2030 (MCR2030) campaign. This global initiative, supported by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), unites 1,770 cities from 90 countries to create inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable urban environments by 2030. Training Details 📅 Date: December 4th, 2024 🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 1:40 PM (Nicosia time) 📍 Location: CYENS Centre of Excellence 📌 Registration Deadline: November 28th, 2024 👉 https://shorturl.at/YQ2LL To kickstart its journey, Nicosia Municipality, CYENS Centre of Excellence, and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Office for Northeast Asia (ONEA) & Global Education & Training Institute (GETI) will host the city’s first MCR2030 Online Training Course on December 4, 2024. This interactive training will: 📚 Provide an introduction to disaster risk reduction and the MCR2030 framework. 🛠️ Teach participants to use tools like the Disaster Resilience Scorecard. 🌍 Share case studies from other cities. 📑 Guide the development of local action plans to strengthen Nicosia’s resilience. This course is a key step in forming a dedicated team of experts from various organizations to lead and implement the MCR2030 roadmap for Nicosia’s sustainable future. By embracing this initiative, Nicosia is setting an inspiring example for cities across Cyprus and beyond. Join us in celebrating this milestone!

On November 18th, I had the privilege to participate in the 9th Stakeholders Meeting organized by the Office of the Commissioner of Communications for Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation OCECPR. The event brought together key stakeholders to discuss the future of electronic communications and postal services in Cyprus. My talk dealt with the trends in the Telecommunications Sector for the next couple of years and addressed issues including the 5G Rollout, 6G Opportunities, use of AI/ML for Network Management and Operations Improvement, Edge and Spatial Computing, Sustainability Issues, and new Business Models.
