#SCEWC24 - 🗓 Wed, 6 November, 11:30 CET: PwC and MaaSLab launch the Sustainable Urban Mobility Index for 26 #metropolitan areas. ❗ There are a lot of indexes measure #cities' sustainable mobility. But SMRI stands out as it is the first index that measures #passenger and #logistics #sustainability for the whole #metropolitan area of a city. ➡ Just an example: when considering the city, public transport indicators score high; but when considering the metropolitan area of a city, the scores drop by far. 🌆 #Mobility is not only about the #citizens live within the city. It is also about the citizens who live in the #periurban areas that are usually #transport deserts. Mobility is not only about #passengers, it is also all the #logistics that take place daily in metropolitan areas and impact the transport network and #emissions. Join us at the @PwC booth at the Smart City Expo in Barcelona on Wednesday, 6 November at 11:30 am CET to learn more about the Sustainable Urban Mobility Index 🙌 Kudos to Eleni Kalantzi Theodora Betsidou George Kallinikos Smaragda Christodoulou Kleanthis Kapsas Paraskevas Nikolaou & to @KaushikDeb @PrernaSaini @PeterKauschke Hazem Galal PwC Middle East PwC India @pwcGermany for the wonderful outcome and collaboration.

🌟InclusiveSpaces kicked-off today in Madrid, where our Project Officer Valentina Palermo - CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency and the consortium partners gathered to launch this innovative project. During the next three years, the project aims to design a more inclusive, equitable, sustainable and climate change adaptive infrastructure by redefining the way we approach and create our built environments, while also creating safe spaces for people living with disabilities, and empowering individuals in vulnerable situations. The goal is to foster a sense of belonging for all the members of society. Looking forward to achieving this together with our colleagues from: cambiaMO | changing mobility, ERTICO - ITS Europe, National Technical University of Athens, MaaSLab, Technical University of Munich TOBEA Mozgássérültek Budapesti Egyesülete / Budapest Assiciation of Disabled People European Passengers' Federation University of Peloponnese EUROPEAN ROAD TRANSPORT TELEMATICS IMPLEMENTATION COORDINATION ORGANISATION Larnaka Municipality Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg Best of luck! 🍀

🚀 Excited to Announce the Launch of the CCAM-ERAS Project! 🚀 Its been well over a year in the making (including developing the proposal and awaiting the grant agreement ✍ ), but I am thrilled to share that we at Panteia are embarking on an innovative journey with the CCAM-ERAS project, part of the Horizon Europe initiative and managed by CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. This 26 month project, with a budget of almost 2 million Euros, aims to pave the way for the future of connected, cooperative, and automated mobility (CCAM).On the 5th and 6th June we had our kick-off meeting at the Panteia office in Zoetermeer. CCAM-ERAS is set to explore the socio-economic impacts of the transition to CCAM. Our goal is to develop crucial knowledge and prepare for the opportunities and challenges that this transition will bring. We aim to: 🔍 Increase understanding of the skills required for CCAM deployment. 🤝 Facilitate cooperation between sectors such as transport, technology, and education. 🌍 Envision a future where CCAM contributes to a more attractive and inclusive labor market. Our multidisciplinary approach will anticipate and mitigate job displacement impacts, promote innovation, and upscale CCAM-specific skills. By addressing real-world use cases, we aim to develop actionable schemes to tackle labor market challenges and support key innovators in the field. Including diverse stakeholders is essential for achieving credibility and support. The roadmap we develop will support the socio-economic transition to CCAM, ensuring a smooth and sustainable path forward. Having been one of the proposal leaders, I'm looking forward to contributing to this important project and seeing the positive impact it will have on the future mobility landscape. Stay tuned for updates on our progress and milestones! 🚍 Curious how automated vehicles are reshaping urban experiences? 🏙️ In Helmond, citizens recently stepped into the future by participating in hands-on demos of autonomous vehicles, including shuttles and buses, as part of the MOVE2CCAM project. This initiative not only showcased cutting-edge mobility solutions but also captured valuable feedback on user comfort and technology interaction. The experiences and insights gained are pivotal in steering the development of smarter, more connected urban transport.
