This is definitely not the biggest gearbox housing we can produce in our factory in Hronov. It's one of the bigger ones, but we can machine 12,000 x 3,600 x 1,600 mm housings on the SHW Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH UF 6 L machine. Large Diesel/Gas engine Flywheel. Yes this may be perhaps unexpected product by Wikov, however it displays wide range of Wikov capability to satisfy customers with different toothed requirements. The flywheel diameter is usually large as this allows it to rotate further from the crankshaft centre axis of rotation. The increased diameter also makes it a lot smoother for the starter motor to rotate the engine. #flywheel #gear #gearbox

The Hronov plant is finishing the assembly and testing of 10 WinGear® gearboxes of the largest size 360. The gearboxes are designed for cable hoists for tainter type dam gates and after complete testing and painting they will head to the customer in the USA. #wikov #dams #usa #hydropower

Another successful repair is leaving our shop in Ayr, Ontario, Canada! This unit has been completely overhauled with new and redesigned internals, restoring it to its original specifications.
