Bird & Bird Czech Republic & Slovakia is happy to announce that our real estate team has advised Hitachi Energy on the expansion of its production capacity in the Czech Republic. Hitachi Energy Czech Republic s.r.o., a subsidiary of Hitachi Energy Ltd. based in Switzerland, manufactures and offers innovative systems and solutions for power generation and distribution in the Czech Republic that use the latest technologies and digitalisation. The Bird & Bird team assisted with the negotiating of lease and construction contracts, business terms, as well as the structuring of contractual relations in connection with the intended construction of a new industrial facility for the production of very high-voltage equipment. The 50,000 sqm industrial development makes the project one of the most significant on the Czech industrial real estate market. Under the supervision of partner Ivan Sagál, the project was coordinated by Petra Kalikova, a consultant at Bird & Bird specialising in real estate. Vojtech Chloupek, Client Relationship Partner, comments: "This industrial development project is one of those real estate deals we are particularly proud of. Hitachi Energy is a company that is leaving a notable footprint on the energy and renewables market with its technologies and sustainable approach.
