Ein Blick zurück auf einen bedeutenden Meilenstein: Im Juni 1999 fand unsere erste Umweltrecht-Tagung statt, die den Grundstein für eine Reihe von wertvollen Diskussionen und Kooperationen legte. 2025 freuen wir uns, bereits die 26. Auflage dieser wichtigen Veranstaltung zu feiern! In den vergangenen Jahren haben sich die Themen und Herausforderungen im Umweltrecht kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt, doch unser Engagement für nachhaltige und relevante Rechtsfragen bleibt unverändert. Emma Russell recently attended Akademie Fresenius 15th International Conference on Endocrine Disruptors (EDs) in Dusseldorf, on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st November. Below we find out about Emma's experience... "I have spent the weekend processing my thoughts from attending the Conference on Endocrine Disruptors (EDs) and there has been plenty to think about! Speakers from backgrounds including regulatory agencies, private sector consultancies, industry and NGOs presented on a wide range of ED-related topics – from management under the REACH, PPP (plant protection product) and biocides (BPD) regulations in Europe, to ED in the context of CLP and GHS, and suggestions for new or amended guidelines and testing strategies. EATS (oestrogenic, androgenic, thyroid and steroidogenic) and non-EATS modalities were (unsurprisingly!) hot🔥. Akademie Fresenius delivered on not only a well-organised, informative and inspiring conference, but also came out on top for treating attendees to an entertaining guided tour around the centre of Dusseldorf, a slap-up meal and an opportunity to try the local, infamous killepitsch. Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals on our agenda again! This morning, we kicked off the 2024 edition of Akademie Fresenius' International Conference on Endocrine Disruptors. On site in Düsseldorf and streamed live for all those joining the presentations and discussions from their homes or offices. We have been particularly happy to welcome Simone Rizzuto from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) with us to give an update on toxicological and ecotoxicological ED assessments.
